Niche! I saw these guys play a tiny basement stage a few years ago at Portals Festival in London. I'd forgotten I wanted to check them out following that show, so this is a very welcome recommendation!

I need to visit this thread more. Doing some catchup and loved the Thought Trials album. Overhead the Albatross is great but I’m into the more subdued shit lately. Need to check Glories. Hexcut and To Life both sound up my alley.

I loved this one from this year, also an art-rock, jazzy post-rock-adjacent vibe.

 

Post Fest lineup already looking amazing

 

This is fucking dope. I love this adventurous side of post-rock that verges on jazz-fusion at times. If anyone has other similar recs, please share!

 

Don't know if either of these are enough in the same wheelhouse to qualify, but the closest of the stuff I've liked this year, there is:

I think it was @Leftandleaving who posted this a few pages back. Very electronic, not as jazzy, but still possibly experimental and post-rock-adjacent enough to scratch an itch.

Kessoncoda - Outerstate

Not really posty at all, hence why this is its first appearance in this thread, but it has that same kind of modern-jazz-esque flavour as Hexcut.
