Yeah I really like our late night summers here in Michigan. I look forward to that every year. Doesn’t get really dark until almost 10. And yeah I’d love the sun not setting at 5 p.m. in the winter because it starts getting dark around 4:30. Just a bummer.

When I did market research over the phone for Nielsen, one of the questions I had to ask all the time was "what type of internet provider do have? Cable internet/Fiber Optic, DSL, Dial-Up, Satellite Internet, or only internet from a cell provider? and I learned about half of Americans don't know what the fuck any of that means and have no clue what type of internet they have. Not just the old people too.

Never wanted to have elitist thinking, but phone jobs truly humble you to how incredibly stupid most Americans are.

More timezones! It makes no sense that there's nearly an hour and a half between sunset

I like people, but I don't like working. I also don't like commuting.

 

Yeah, let the states pick which time they stay on and then no more changes. Permanent DST works for some and permanent ST works for others because, if anything, there should be more timezones. The disparity between sunrise and sunset in the easternmost and westernmost parts of each time zone is ludicrous.

 

Why don't we all just have a personal timezone?

 

Does it follow me wherever I go? And do I set it and forget it or can I have time changes?
