I want it to be good, but I suspect the best ASOIAF related game will continue to be the Crusader Kings mod

The product placement was a bit much in the intergalactic trailer but I assume it’s to give it a connection to our reality and make it feel more grounded, as grounded as a space game can be anyway. I get it but it was also kind of eye roll inducing. Kind of related to my earlier point about the corporatism holding back the medium

 

Yeah it’s a bit jarring but these games are fucking expensive now so if it gives them some extra cash for development and it’s not completely out of place and makes sense, I can forgive it.

 

I think people are selective about when that kind of stuff bothers them. And memory hole how prevalent it was in the 2000s because it’s not a new phenomenon whatsoever. It’s not great but it’s not hugely upsetting like people are already making it out to be

 

Was a really solid show.

And alright, finally bit the bullet and bought Balatro.

Balatro deserves all the flowers. “Rogue-lites” and “deck-builders” being a very oversaturated set of genres, and they’re just one of the best ones now, it’s impressive

I forgot Tati Gabrielle was going to be in season 2 of the TLOU show (she’s playing Nora.) I’d guess she was cast in the new ND game first.

Did Witcher 4 get any sort of date attached to it? Feel like we're looking at 2027 at the earliest, probably 2028. Maybe even 2029 after delays. But idk maybe CDPR is being a bit more responsible about not announcing stuff too soon.

 

No they didn’t, but yeah they just recently announced it went into full production so it’s probably a few years out

 

Excited that Outer Worlds 2 is coming so soon, but would've loved another big reveal from Xbox. Overall solid showing though. I can't wait for RGG's Virtua Fighter and Project Century.

 

CDPR is notorious for delaying projectn, sometimes even a month before release. I think Holiday 2027 is a cautious and realistic estimate.

 

Not to forget the Cyberpunk launch. A wounded animal is a cautious one.

 

I played Cyberpunk on PC day one no problem lol

but I know I'm an outlier. Literally perfect experience on my end tho

 

Witcher 4 might be the best trailer I've ever seen

 

Such a great lineup. Witcher 4, weird multiplayer Elden Ring, new Onimusha, new Okami, new Ninja Gaiden, new Virtua Fighter, new Naughty Dog game, fuckin weird ass Pac-Man Metroidvania...

I love being a gamer in the same tones as Michelangelo exclaiming that he loves being a turtle.
