Limited snow but still four seasons

Once every 3-4 years Baltimore snows a lot and feels more like a city further north - but for the most part precipitation usually means low pressure and a warm front came in and it only rained

Yesterday it was 60 and rainy and then once it stopped raining it promptly cooled back down to 25 lol

 

I like my job… if only it paid more and had better hours, sigh.

But I could get that office job and I’d also complain about how much I hate waking up early, and sitting through captain obvious meetings, and doing the work of 4 people in four hours but getting no recognition and just being expected to keep that up, and office politics with the absolute worst kinds of people holding me back from getting promotions i otherwise deserve for my insight and quality of work

strangely both john and adam have lived in my neighborhood but never at the same time. john lives in Kansas now I believe. adam lived in the triangle when john was here.

"basic supply and demand" is stupid cause it's easily rigged by large companies who buy up half of the available inventory, lobby for policy that is friendly to them paying as little as possible and having no real regulations, and either unfairly bribe or vertically integrate all related supply and distribution channels, just to invent farcical scarcity and drive prices up artificially. Keynesian economics' idea of "equilibrium" only exists if you enforce antitrust laws, break up collusion, and put hard limits on how many assets foreign investors can have in the US. The whole thing can be puppeteered from the top down otherwise.

They also said landlords who reduce rent by at least 5% will be able to earn tax exemptions on 90% of the home value rather than 50% so it's not just "fuck rich people" there are ways to create incentives for them to price things fairly
