  1. I've seen other agree with the take on it feeling too polished or sanitized, at the end of the day almost everyone in this thread celebrates all of the records so it's no worries :)

If I could just forget it

If those songs had S/T's production... oh man.

approx. 3rd coolest Steve on here Supporter

Diamond Eyes is their best album. The first 3 tracks is their best 3 track run.

I just like KNY better because it felt like they just stretched what they were doing on DE into longer songs with a little more experimentation. I also feel like the atmosphere shines through slightly more on KNY than DE.

    KNY also has Rosemary.

Koi is not my fav ‘tones album and probably not even top 3 but Entombed has a strong case for their most beautiful song to me and What Happened to You is probably my fav closer of theirs. They obv do heavy music a class above everyone else but they were really really cooking on the dream pop elements of that album above all else imo

Just please for the love of God do not release the closer as a single again. Deftones make the best closers and it's always a treat for me to hear it on my first full spin of a new album.

1:27 into Rosemary always gets me like

  12. "Ohms" very well could be my favorite closer of theirs, absolutely love that major key riff

  13. Entombed is one of my favourite songs of the 2010s, it's perfect

  14. Sometimes I think Gauze is one of their finest. The main riff is so simple yet so crushing and that descending lick Stephen plays at the end of each bar always catches me off guard, in a good way. Have to mention the chorus as well, Chino crafted one of his best hooks here.

Same. I remember listening to that song for the first time and getting so hyped. It’s exactly what I wanted from a song by them

Can we talk about their openers? Every single one is a banger. From My Own Summer to Hexagram to Swerve to Genesis. Just, wow. These guys know how to make an entrance.
