I think people are just having fun with the Hasan videos. He seems fine and I don’t think anyone is actually upset if he gets posted in here a lot. I hope his popularity grows in comparison to the Tim Pools of the world or that dipshit Destiny that I see popping up places more and more.
As an aside, I think the reason I can’t get into the YouTube influencers is first of all that I’m old and the format is odd to me, but every time I see a video I think that even people I know and almost certainly people who post in this thread are more knowledgeable about the issues they’re speaking about, so I just don’t feel like I’m ever learning anything. And I could care less about these people debating each other, so there just isn’t much in it that interests me.

As a provider there's usually a gap between me and the patients when it comes to financial issues, someone in our finance division handles it. But we're on the verge of dropping a major major insurance company, I've had patients during appointments literally pleading for us to take the rate cut so that they or their loved ones don't get booted and lose their cancer therapy. This insurance companies is valued in the hundreds of billions.

We live in sick times.

I think Hasan is cool, better than most of the popular commentary that is out there. I’m not that interested in content about what the Democrats could/should be doing (when we know what they’re going to do), so i haven’t paid attention to him much lately.

 

Can I make a request for more hasan clips and way less posts from Aaron rupar or Matty Y

I try to watch Hasan's actual Twitch stream every so often, I usually watch the previous days because I can't invest 6-8 hours just watching his stream and not being able to move through topics that I don't care about. Prime example of that is his talk about the Streamer Awards from yesterday, could literally give two shits about that.

I typically more just find his fan YouTube aggregator channels that pull out videos from topics that I care about. Usually those are from like 30 minutes to an hour or two. I think one of the cool things about Hasan is that he does not crackdown on those aggregator channels like a lot of shows/streamers do.

 

I know I am old and not the target audience at all, but I find the thought of watching someone for 6-8 hours of unscripted content INSANE. Even with someone that I am a huge fan of, I would never want to watch them just babble unscripted or riff or just talk and fuck around for that many hours. That would be literal torture for me.

 

The only show I will watch and not move through topics I "care" about is The Majority Report because I have found that there is a ton of things they talk about that I typically don't "care" about but then I actually find them interesting and informative.

Their interview with Jane F. McAlevey (RIP) on Union organizing is a prime example of that. Just such a super informative interview and really well done.

 

I think for the most part Hasan has like a outline of the topics he will hit but yes I agree, trying to devout that much time to watching someone is insane. I actually don't know how someone is able to do that.

 

Most people just put streams on the background while they work or study, or they put them on while playing games or something. Not many people are actively watching. It's like having CNN on, you go in and out.

I put his streams on while I cook/clean/do dishes or sometimes I will watch while eating dinner instead of TV. I never have watched an entire 8-10 hour stream.

 

I'm assuming most of the ones people are referencing here are organized and planned and outlined at least - but I have seen clips of some where the people are just fucking around and it's nonsense

Hasan generally has a loose outline of topics and guests laid out, but will impov based in breaking news or a story coming out during the stream.

Half of his streams are him yelling at his own chat and telling them to stop being so weird to be honest lol

 

Like I said, it’s insane what people choose to complain about in this thread when the worst lib shit in the world gets posted unchecked daily

I don’t watch hasan live (unless there’s some special event like the election or his recent Columbia speech) but there’s clip channels that take the highlights of his streams and make them digestible

 

I don't have time to watch hours long streams, I only have time to watch hours long recaps of the first 4 Stormlight books

 

I keeping finding like new to me, "leftist" type streamers and I think its because I am probably paying more attention and then they are also linked or highlighted on shows that I currently watch. Found a new person to me, called RM Brown.

Majority Report had him on their live show and he has interviewed Sam a few times. He likes to make fun of Pool/Rogan/PBD which I quite enjoy and is like catnip to me.
