I think if we’re drafting for a career, I’d probably still go Caleb/Jayden/Maye and then 4 maybe Nabers over MHJ? ALT stays a charger. Nix or Bowers to the giants at 6?

 

Bowers is awesome and I still hate the Raiders for picking him but Jayden being a top 10 QB this year is a lot more impactful than Brock being the best receiving TE in the league in year 1

 

maybe but I’d very quickly take the top 10 QB now vs taking the bottom 5ish QB with upside and good excuses. Could also make the argument for Maye over Caleb given what they’ve shown to date but that one is closer

 

Something to be said about the concerns for Jayden already panning out a bit though. Took all of like…a month for him to get hurt and he didn’t look quite right when he got back for a bit too

 

I'd take Maye 1st overall after what he's shown

 

He’s a top 5 pass catcher period in year one, just comparing him to TEs is a disservice IMO

 

Also don't think Daniels is top 10

 

Caleb’s have already panned out too though

 

Sure, but theoretically you can coach Caleb’s away. You can’t coach “don’t be thin af” away lol.

 

You can absolutely coach taking less hits but I do understand it’s different (but that’s Caleb’s problem too in a way)

 

I started off thinking Caleb is a bust, so I’m probably subconsciously just trying to unbias myself.

 

I just know Matt’s biggest analysis on Caleb was his P2S ratio and that has been a massive problem in the NFL and in college with a QB whisperer designing the easiest offense possible so I don’t believe a lot in him cleaning up his play under pressure

 

Makes sense, it’s “the same problems existed then so why do we believe them existing now changes that?” I get that thinking

 

Redrafts after 1 year are usually my least favorite exercises for that reason

 

I am prepared to take my L on Nix though. Not that I think he’s particularly talented but he’s playing really well and I never thought he’d do that

 

It was an interesting exercise for me in that by and large the top-10 at least are all feeling pretty good about their choice

Was,Ne,Az,SD,NYG - all have to be feeling pretty good
No idea where Atlanta is at or Tennessee

Based off this season’s play alone, I have Lamar, Burrow, and Allen as the obvious top 3 and then I have an unordered group of Mahomes, Kyler, Goff, Hurts, Love, Purdy, Daniels, and Herbert rounding out the top 10

am I missing anyone? I think he’s there. I’m a little iffier on including a couple of the other names there over someone like Stafford or Baker than I am on Daniels tbh
