I was there, in the meeting, I watched it with my own eyes and heard it with my own ears

I'm seeing if I can find where I read that on Twitter, a website that is renowned for its accuracy and truthfulness

How is that possibly your interpretation of this:

  8. I get what you are saying. You've experienced a lot of horrors in the health system in the United States and having insurance made it somewhat less horrible than it would've been without insurance.

What I think you are missing about the critique most of us have of this industry is that the massive health companies are causing all the bad things, too. Sure, they give coverage which means less money out of your pocket than if you had no coverage. But the reason your options are no coverage or coverage that may or may not be completely inadequate and predatory is because the insurance companies like it that way, and they make the most money that way. They spend billions lobbying to keep it that way.

Yes, there are absolutely going to be moments where you are glad you have insurance as opposed to not having it. But you shouldn't have to think about that at all! And you only do because of those healthcare companies. They create the problems they solve.

  10. Why does david have to add on a completely nonsensical and incorrect defense of Rupar to his reasonable point about personal feelings about this. come on man

anyone who is one health insurance claim denial away from financial ruin is not going to be able to afford to fight UnitedHealthcare in court and that bullet-riddled sack of cold meat that used to be a human douchebag knew this

Because he literally says "to get your dunks in" lol. The implication being that it's depraved to be publicly making fun of the guy!

"According to a release from United Healthcare on Tuesday, he would announce the company's hugely profitable 2025 financial outlook, including expected revenues upwards of $450 billion."

    $450 billion

I will never get tired of how caught up people here get about completely innocuous comments lol

"How dare you defend Aaron rupar?!"
*me sitting here not giving any shits about "defending" someone I've never met and have no attachment to* "What?"

  18. you don't "defend" you just constantly advocate for the best-faith interpretations of everything these kind of people say. what's the difference

Oh, Im sure they are very profitable. I Dont even want to play the devils advocate on this... I really don't.

I just don't feel that he was the one that is causing the problems with the healthcare system in the US. Killing him doesnt help.

Social media is public by nature. Ridiculous to interpret it as him making some kind of nuanced public / private distinction when it was obviously a condemnation of people laughing about a man being murdered.

Depends on what source you read but apparently they had anywhere from 16-25 billion in profits last year. They say operating costs included so like...what the hell do you do with an extra 20 billion dollars? Why do you need to make that much money as a company? What good are you possibly going to do with an extra 20 billion laying around?

I do feel bad for his family and the pain they must be going through and killing the CEO likely isn't gonna change the company and make any better

but we can and should laugh at the memes of an evil CEO dying

  24. Does Jason have me blocked if so can someone relay my post I think it was good

Because it literally does nothing for me to try to decipher any deeper meaning to what Aaron Rupar is saying or commenting on. He's good for one thing--clipping news clips of Republicans saying awful shit. I don't need to read into a bad post of his to find anything worse because I don't feel like my life needs me to spend time being annoyed or mad at Aaron Rupar's bad takes lol. He bitched about people "getting their dunks in", that's what he said publicly on social media, so who cares if he also secretly is mad at people for being happy at all? Does it change anything? No. Stop giving a shit about it lol
