Yeah, I’m not arguing Wolf and Mayo are IT, I’m just more bucking against “we need to fire everyone this year was a disaster.”

I give them credit for Maye because there were options to trade down so they clearly identified “yep, he’s worth not doing that.”

The defense thing is tough and I think of the coaches, Covington is who I’m worried most about. But it also is worth remembering it’s not just Barmore and Judon who have been out. Peppers, Bentley, Wise, Dugger have all also missed significant time. That group is basically the defense lol.

The McConkey thing sucks, but they were never considering him. They felt his skillset was pretty duplicative of what they had in the room already and were trying to find an X or deep threat.

Realistically this year has gone sorta exactly how I figured overall, but Maye playing and looking good was something I was unsure was gonna happen in 2024
