I don’t want to fire him and restart again & again & again and get stuck in a coaching carousel, but I sooooo do not believe in him or the coordinators at all and felt they were bad hires from day 1.

I feel bad for him. Pretty much any coach coming into this situation was gonna need to like...make the AFC Championship or we'd hear the backlash. Price you pay following Belichick. He's not had a great first season, but he's a first year coach. I don't think people realize how rare what the Texans did last year actually is, and even this year we're seeing it was a bit phony.

I feel bad for Mayo too because he was put in an awful situation. A terrible team left in shambles mixed with his extreme lack of experience. However:

I didn’t want a defensive minded first year HC to take over a rebuild for a team taking a rookie QB top 3 and needing to rebuild an offense from ground up. Just didn’t seem right to me.

I just want to see … something … from Mayo/AVP/Wolf/Covington to feel like the future is bright lol

2025 really has always been the year to wait and see on. I knew 2024 would go just about like it has haha
