Hoping someone smarter than me will have the answer because google let me down. Isn't there some kind of like... limit to the weapons we let people use in war? Like is a thermobaric bomb not considered a crime against humanity or some shit. It's been ridiculous we're actively aiding and abetting Israel's genocide of Palestinians but we're just letting them have no limits in how they kill people now? Sorry if this is dumb or easily answered.

I read those posts about the bombs and relayed the news to my mom and I could feel myself starting to cry just talking about it. I cannot imagine how we live in a world where we not only kill other people but don't even leave a trace of them to bury.

There is no limit to what we’ll let Israel do. This has been our policy on Israel for decades.

  13. it's illegal in the US to sell weapons that are reasonably likely to be used in war crimes but that gets enforced about as well as international law, ie not at all

I mean, not in reality. Hypothetically is there no limit? What even is the Geneva Conventions, I'm not joking btw I just don't know enough about the subject.

Okay this was basically my question, thank you. I was wondering if there is something we are just ignoring or if there is nothing in place.

I have been going out more recently, and I find myself in places around Zoomer dudes. I have heard more homophobic slurs casually outright said openly in the past few weeks than I have in a decade probably, all from dudes in their 20's. This generation really is different.

This is wild. Someone in the replies pointed out bone issues were a problem with people who survived SARS1 too

a while back my son had a stress fracture in his leg that the doctors said was very similar to what marathon runners get. they initially thought he had cancer because apparently, unless you're training for a marathon, what he had had usually only been caused by a cancerous lesion on the bone. after a few months and a ton of testing they thankfully ruled out cancer and it healed and he's fine now, no pain. the orthopedic doctor I spoke with at Children's told me that she didn't understand why but that they had started to see this type of injury in kids like my son since COVID where they are not doing excessive amounts of repetitive running and they don't have a lesion on the bone either but it is happening and they do not now why.

Yeah I basically meant to say what wharf rat did, anything that’s not above board with international law gets hand waved away or ignored completely, so effectively our policy is let them do whatever
