Alchemy Index with ease if the whole thing counts

if you count it by release date then it’s a toss up between Vheissu and Alchemy Index Vol I & II (Fire & Water)

 

I see them as a casually solid band from “the scene” that is interesting because they both do justice to the “real metal” that influenced them rather than only being a gimmicky metalcore band for teenagers like most of their peers, but also softened up a lot and showed a lot of range with their experimental material, which was mostly pulled off very well and was the peak of their career imo.

good band that released a couple iconic “of the era” albums I’m nostalgic for and two outstanding records in their peak but ultimately I’d like them more if they were more known for the latter and did more of that than Artist In the Ambulance

 

Tldr “yeah they’re good, a couple albums really stuck, but I’m not a #thricehead cause most their albums are meh to me”

 

My take is that they're really not THAT much more interesting than most of their peers and while I like them, even at their peak they're just like "some other really good albums" to me

 

Anyone got more of that depressing music ala Spanish love songs

 

I take them over like, Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, Bullet for My Valentine, Chiodos, Underoath, Glassjaw etc a lot of that screamy post hardcore scene music of the time just wasn’t my thing and Thrice (subjectively of course) felt like a more well rounded take on that sound

Of Thrice’s “peers” in my mind, my favorites are Alexisonfire and Thursday for sure, I appreciate all 3 bands’ range and how well they represented the DIY punk that influenced their sounds, but generally I don’t look nostalgically upon that wave of music haha and eventually it got way worse and turned into like Alesana and A Day To Remember, no thanks on all that

I don't know what it was this week, but the council was uninspired by the ball that was on display this week. Unsure if it's the looming holiday or maybe it was that 6 teams were on byes. Tua Tagovailoa - A mushroom stamp type of performance

Patrick Mahomes - It’s going to be a close game but he’ll always squeak his way out of it because his plot armor is so thick

Bo Nix - It’s official. He’s #1 from this draft class and it’s not even close (I hope this curses him. I hate Bo Shites, and his success ruins me as a certified hater)

Lil Pup in em:
Baker Mayfield - Classic big dawg performance from Bake, you can expect him to run 40 yards to block, recover fumbles, and he angered some Italians. That’s what pups do

Sam Darnold - Every close game you think that he’s gonna turn into the old Sam, but he continues (for the most part) to perform well

Bryce Young - Stats won’t wow you, it’s still a loss but this is a good loss. I’m feeling more and more hopeful for our beautiful for lil boy

Cooper Rush - I was ready for this mf to be in the realm for the remainder of the season, but I’m glad he remembered he’s good enough to be a (sometimes) decent QB

Jalen Hurts - A no turnover game with a win is always going to get Jalen a lil pup rating

Jared Goff - One of those games where his box score doesn’t need to wow you, did enough to then give it the sonic characters or whatever Gibbs and Montgomery call themselves

Will Levis - If we forget that the pick 6 never happened, this is what some expected from Levis at the start of the year. The good is pretty good but the bad…holy shit he’s dogass. Oh wait, he’s a lil pup this week, nvm

Caleb Williams - 11 TDs to 3 INTs since getting lil bro’d by CJ earlier in the season (don't look up CJ's stats...), some games he’s looked bad but since the offensive terrorist has been gone (Waldren) things are looking up!

Jayden Daniels - Feels unfair to put him here, but the Commanders are on the decline and I got to point a finger somewhere and the dawgs only speak one langauge: Quarterback

CJ Stroud - Is it time to let go of Slowik? Maybe DeMeco is DeShite-o? Once again…vibes r off. *Insert liquid CJ Stroud pic here*

Drake Maye - They got shitstomped but some reason it didn’t feel entirely right to put him in the no dawg, but oh well

Anthony Richardson - Not his worst game. That’s all I can really say lol

Brandon Allen - This team is fuckin’ ded. Might as well just rest all of the injury prone bums on this team and go next for next year. They overpumped last season and what do they have to show for it? An NFC Championship ring? Yeah, my franchise could never

Ka’imi Fairshite - Maybe kickers should be forced to have all their kicks be 50 yard attempts because that should have been made

Quenshite Johnston - My god is he terrible at the sport of football 95% of the time. You never want a WR to have the same amount of drops as you’ve had shits during the day

Kyshite Murray - He looked especially small and submissive today. At least he has double xp today to look forward to

Oakshite Raiders QB Room - Please just tank the rest of the way to get Shedeur. I can’t go another year with Shiteshew, Shidder, and O’Shitell as QB options

Jayshite Waddle - Not due to any kind of statistic or play is the reason why he’s down here but because he won’t do the penguin celebration anymore because he would get asked to do it in public too often. Give the people what we want!!!!

Bo Nix being good in Sean Payton's offense and Sean Payton being a good coach no matter how much we hate him for Bountygate is the uncomfortable but inevitable truth that was always gonna happen

 

I swallowed my pill and drafted Bo Nix in dynasty when he fell to me in round 2 and the best 2024 class WR/RB/TE were gone and I have to admit it's nice having a backup for Lamar I actually wouldn't hate starting
