Don’t sleep on Chief Keef’s Almighty So 2 even though it dropped early this year.

That, Mach-Hommy, nxWorries, LL Cool J, and Denzel are my faves but this should also make the list

 

Best in hip-hop this year for me are Boldy James, Tyler The Creator, Roc Marciano, Vince Staples, Freddie Gibbs, Blu, Rome Streetz, Navy Blue, Larry June and JPEGMAFIA

 

The most fun show I saw all year, loved Fly Anakin's opening set too

 

I’d like to also dig through some of the more underground rap that dropped this year which I haven’t done enough. I’m sure there’s plenty of great stuff that falls outside the mainstream that I just haven’t been as intentional with. I enjoyed this Chow Lee album when it first released but I need to return to it.

Confirm Doechii is the one. That Mexican OT record goes nuts too

 

GNX, Boldy James/Harry Fraud, the Tyler album, Doechii, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Denzel Curry, Rapsody, J.U.S. No particular order.

 

That Mexican OT is so good but one of the examples of an artist who drops too much to keep up

 

Tyler, Kendrick, Doechii, Denzel Curry, Vince Staples, Freddie Gibbs, Little Simz and Childish Gambino if you count that have been my favorite hip hop this year

 

Lupe’s was also worth checking

just threw on Glorilla's album, looking for more woman-fronted rap albums from this year. this is very good

 

Common & Pete Rock album and Blu & Exile album are amazing too

 

Hell yeah king. As others have said, Mach-Hommy and Denzel's projects from this year are great. Others I haven't seen mentioned yet that I really enjoy include Navy Blue, 21 Savage, and Westside Gunn.

 

I some how missed the Vince staples album from this year but this is legit.
