Brad is still a member of the band even if he's not touring.

And Rocco has a point, the songs began life in Linkin Park sessions, so it's not wrong to consider them Linkin Park songs.

I mean, something has to be last by default, unfortunately. I don't know if it's that song, but man, amazing if it is, cause it's a pretty good song.

It's not and I'm not a "mega fanboy" just because I appreciate a song that you don't.

Sorry, I know you came here looking to have a party with everyone who dislikes the song. Don't worry, they'll arrive soon enough.

I quite like Cut The Bridge tbh

    idk man

Cut The Bridge is easily my least favorite on the record due to lackluster production choices and the most boring lyrics imaginable, especially on the chorus. Probably one of my immediate skips in their discography

truly embarrassing musically, sounds like a high school band trying to play LP style songs

Yeah, there are definitely better songs on the album, but there are also definitely weaker songs in LP's discography. I mean, the song is better than quite a few on One More Light, for example.

I dunno, it sounds no better nor worse than a lot of other songs the band has made. It's weird to me that this is the song that's getting singled out the most on here.

I think Mike's rap is as good as any other raps he's done, I like Emily's build up in the bridge, and the song is a fun singalong that I'm sure will go well live. Musically it may not be more distinct than a typical hard rock song, but I don't see that necessarily as a minus.

Mike’s vocals in the chorus are what ruin it for me, that and the production. There are definitely way more worse songs though.

  14. There's much worse on One More Light. Each of their post-Meteora record, sans A Thousand Suns, has one or two stinkers at least

Not when they have Lies Greed Misery and Hit The Floor in their discography

how is Hit the Floor even getting mentioned in this conversation lol

LGM and wretches and kings are the immediate example that came to mind for me, ghastly songs. Plenty others too, I think the post-meteora output has been wildly inconsistent.

If I had to think about LP album songs that had to either grow on me or that I think less of than others, what comes to mind is Nobody Listening, Until It Breaks, Robot Boy, A Line In The Sand. Final Masquerade was actually my least favorite single from them, although that's mainly because right now I don't remember practically anything from OML except for the title track.

Clarifying that I'm not going to call these bad songs both because I don't think they are but also because it's not in me to think of anything as bad unless there's something seriously glaringly wrong. I mean, there's a lot of stuff people around here like that I can't get into but don't consider bad because that's a very narrow and reductive view to take.

Like Robot Boy as an example is very different from any other LP song and took me aback when I first heard it, but one thing I've especially grown to like about it is how Chester just goes for it at the end with all the vocal takes.

I like Hit The Floor but it is a very simple kind of song compared to others on Meteora. It's a very basic rap verse hard chorus kind of number. Which actually, Cut The Bridge reminded me of quite a bit when I first heard it, although I'd say Cut The Bridge actually has more going on in the chorus.

"Cut the Bridge" is definitely my least favorite on here, but I also haven't skipped it any time it's come up. I'd say it's more or less grown on me, though something about how it was mixed or recorded or whatever makes it not hit right. The main problem is that the gang vocals in the chorus don't have an kick to them, and they're half the chorus... and the Emily half is pretty minimal, lol.

Me still liking that song well enough may be a sign that I'm in the bag for this return.

Love Cut The Bridge, def one of my favorites on album.

Crazy calling this ,,Not-Linkin Park” when One More Light exists.

I don't know about one of the best, but I guess it depends on what itch LP scratches for you.

I mean, Easier To Run is one of my favorites and the band doesn't even like it.

As much as I like “A Thousand Suns,” I always thought “The Messenger” was a bad way to close out the album. Chester is almost comically yelling on that.
