well I polished off s2 tonight, way better finale and season on the whole than 1. the way the payoff to Locke having a crisis of faith against Eko doing the opposite intertwines with Desmond's story to become the climax of the whole season is just A+ writing. full body chills when Desmond says "you saved my life so I could save yours", best quote in the show so far

really glad that's seemingly the end of Michael and Walt's story, cos fuck it was getting annoying lmao. with Desmond and Eko in the fold you've got such a strong set of characters going into next season, and ""Henry"" is an incredible villain which the show was kind of lacking until now. super curious what the hell was up with Libby and why she was everywhere in the flashbacks lol

Eko dies way too early in this show man. easily the coolest character and the one with the most interesting places they could have still taken him. that being said it is good to see the smoke monster actually doing something lol, and it's the first really big thing that's happened in s3 after 4 episodes of Jack Kate and Sawyer standing around in cages

I just got to Flashes Before Your Eyes, really fantastic stuff. easily the best episode of this season so far (goddamn the stuff with The Others is boring right now after all that buildup, the beach storyline is so much more interesting). that ending with Des crying over the photo is heartwrenching, he's such a good actor

can't wait to see the infamous tattoo episode next, also the Rob McElhenney cameo really caught me off guard lmao

we took a quick break and got back to it last night. On Enter 77. So much stuff I've forgotten. Can't wait to watch Expose, especially after Sawyer. saying "who the hell are you?" to Nikki. Wasn't there theories back then that they were also secret Others?

Expose was so good. such a fun change of pace up until the end, which was grim as hell. murder mystery is s great tone on this show

man I wasn't expecting Sun to become the best character but she rules this season, so many badass lines

I don’t know how I feel about Mikhail randomly coming back from the dead, it lowers the stakes if people can just arbitrarily resurrect themselves

finished up s3, like last season it really got cooking towards the end but I think the lows in 3 were a fair bit lower. I really couldn't care less about the Jack-Kate-Sawyer-Juliet love quadrangle, the fact that we spent so much time on that and not on actually exploring the Others' society at all was wild. the glimpse of Jacob was really creepy though and hopefully bodes well for some actual progression there soon

I remembered it probably the most clearly out of anything the first time around but RIP Charlie. it's a necessary death to keep the stakes interesting and they clearly struggled to find stuff for him to do in the past 2 seasons, but it still hits hard. really not a fan of Mikhail being the one who takes him out because he's apparently a Terminator, surely there was another way to make it happen lol. also Sawyer killing Locke's dad was really unexpected and fucking awesome, I'm all about them weaving the character backstories together like that

I've watched 5 episodes more and yeah The Constant totally deserves all the praise. I don't think I ever watched this far when I was young but the phone call scene was very familiar, bet I've heard it sampled somewhere. either way absolutely goosebumps inducing stuff, Cusick is just carrying the show at this point and he gets one episode a season

otherwise yeah the overall mystery is starting to wear me out a little but I'm still basically invested. the flashforwards were cool at first but they're starting to feel a bit gimmicky because they ran out of good flashback material? I'm also kinda tired of them introducing new characters every season when there's not enough room for the existing characters to all get the limelight lol. always nice to see Dickie from Justified though

Been thinking about checking this out for the first time after finding out that a lot of From's production crew worked on this show. Have heard the ending kind of blows though so I'm not sure if the disappointment is worth it?

I haven't seen the ending yet but I don't regret watching it so far, it's silly sometimes but the best episodes are truly fantastic

on s4, I love how the Kevin Johnson thing is treated as a big reveal but Harold's name is in the credits for the whole season lol, kinda spoils the effect

Danielle and Alex dying was genuinely shocking though, brutal stuff there

Check it out! I watched for the first time not too long ago and I’m still thinking about this show every day. Just don’t expect every single question to be resolved.

man bringing Michael back midway through a season and then blowing him up a few episodes later is nasty work. if he actually is dead (never too sure with this show lmao) that's pretty lame

despite some issues here and there though I think 4 was actually my favourite season so far, really tense and a wild ride. The Shape of Things to Come might have been the most intense episode of the whole thing so far, almost felt like an action movie

start of s5 feels like a bit of a slog so far. it's hard to get invested in the Oceanic 6 stuff off island, all the spy stuff and the drama about Aaron is just insanely boring to me. even Desmond's episode in there was a downgrade compared to his previous two (I did enjoy Hurley throwing a hot pocket at Ben though)

on island the timeline jumping is cool in theory, there's been some great moments with it like seeing Rousseau arrive and getting some more Richard Alpert (probably the single character I'm most curious about right now). but it's a little bit too chaotic to really get invested in for too long since you know it's gonna jump soon again anyway. Charlotte's death was pretty memorably fucked up though for a character I thought was pretty bland last season - Faraday is quickly turning into one of the best on the show too

Lost is my favorite show of all time. The ending is awesome.
Keep in mind though, it’s an older show with longer seasons, so get ready for a commitment. But it’s addicting with all the twists and cliffhangers, so that shouldn’t be a problem.

Love when people rewatch this show and comment on their viewing because it's been so long since I've seen the show that I've honestly forgotten some things that happened, so when people mention it, I'm like, oh shit, that's right, that was crazy.

It's not the same as seeing it again for the first time, but it's close.
