He livestreamed some of the Wu Tang album this morning

 

I'm sure they are.

 

I thought for sure he was trolling with that too because he named one of the tracks he'd be releasing but the name he said was just a b-side or something that had already been heard. (accidental brand new reference)

I'm not a total Wu Tang fanatic but I think the two songs played in the video I saw were legit unreleased Wu Tang though.

 

He was pretty well-connected with the scene through Geoff Rickly. I wonder if he really has anything.

 

Yeah that would describe it pretty accurately. Forgot about Not the Sun, good track.

That is odd, I found Daisy a little too out in left field. I get it about TDAG though, its a strong record just darker than I expected and its never really impacted me personally. Aside from Jesus Christ, and I've rarely heard lyrics that good.

 

If the show is at 730 tonight, any idea of when brand new would go on?

Not totally sure if 730 is start or doors tho.

 

last night was 7-7:30 modern baseball, 7:45-8:30 front bottoms, 9-10:45 brand new. so probably 9:30

 

They were obviously very good last night but if the 4 times I've seen them this was probably my least favorite.

TDAG is easily my favorite record of theirs, but personally I think Daisy and Deja songs are wayyy better live. So 0 Daisy songs is a bit of a downer. The sequencing of TDAG live can make things kind of drag so it's hard to properly pace the energy.

But this show just reaffirms my belief brand new should just make a post rock record.

 

Yeah, I think I agree with this. Brand New and post-rock? Sign me up ha. Have been thinking the same thing.

 

post-rock would be nice.

 

If Jesse is the star of their records, Vin is the star for their live show. God damn can that guy play a guitar.

 

Got a little bit of the signing guitar from Jesse last night.

Loved getting TDAG in full...also completley okay with the rest of the songs being deja and yfw songs haha. Though they weren't as impactful since they played mostly all the same songs from Deja in Philly this summer.

So has anyone figured out what jesse is singing in Not the Sun yet? He seems to be signing those background vocals we all want to know on this tour, or at least he did last night.

 

I'm still mad I've seen them twice and have seen no daisy or new songs

 

Also Allentown last night was one of the few times Jesse uttered more than like 15 words to the crowd. Though part of that was because someone vomited near the barricade and he addressed it.

"Uh that's never happened before, so I don't really know what to do. So I guess good luck guys"

 

I'm hoping they put up variations of their merch again like they did after their summer tour -- most of their merch was sold out last night fairly early on. Was keen on getting the TDAGARIM shirt, bummed.

 

I snagged 4 of the shirts last night, I couldn't pick which I liked best lol

 

Mediums were out on that TDAGARIM shirt, but maybe I got unlucky and the merch people were confused bc it was crazy ha.

Also, evidently at the show tonight Jesse (and maybe others?) are hanging out on The Front Bottoms set.

Edit: Forgot to add, finally seeing Welcome to Bangkok live was pretty great. What a killer song.
