Schnitzel is amazing. Although I wouldn't call it gross.

 

Here's some amazing Wiener schnitzel I had in Vienna but I think you're talking about the hot dog place. Either way, this was so good and even though I felt bad eating Veal, not bad enough to not eat it.

 

German food is the only type of cultural regional cuisine I do not like (at least their savory foods. German pastries are good) don't like really like cabbage and I don't like Northern European style sausages.

Why is Propel so cheap? My corner store sells them for a $1 a pop. They're not terrible.

I am going to try to make Shrimp Scampi for the first time tonight

 

My neighborhood fresh market got bought by the conservative hippies and now it is all overpriced raw milk, raw cheese, and "cottage food" (unregulated foodstuff made in someone's home kitchen).

It has very little actual fruits and vegetables now, mainly just weird unregulated shit that might give me a stomach virus.

 

My Shrimp Scampi was ok. I didn't have white wine, so I used white wine vinegar instead. It didn't reduce as well so my sauce was a little watery. It would have been better with actual wine.

I didn't know you had to dilute WWV when using it as a replacement for white wine and it shouldn't be 1-1 ratio to the amount of white wine in the recipe.

 

I used to buy their packets by the truckload. Never drank plain water ever. Pink is bomb

 

Also had my scampi by itself with a slice of sourdough. Would have been better in a linguini.

 

I never even conceived that you could make pie this way

 

Are pretzels the only snack that come in hard and soft variety? They’re both so good. Pretzels are king of the snacks.

I am making a quasi-sunday gravy (using eggwashed ground beef instead of pork/sausage. Also added about a quarter of a jar of processed sauce to add a bit more volume). I made it pretty late so I still got like 2 and half hours left on it.

Debating on using it to make a baked spaghetti, but that would mean I wouldn't be eating until like 10/10:30.
