Let me tell you this though I fuckin hate Christmas music haha. That’s my hater opinion

like has a cool band written a cool Christmas song here and there sure I’m not denying that

but alllllll the “classic” ones that get covered a thousand times and played ad nauseum for a month straight and people be listening to that shit in their house all day and it’s on all the fucking time at your job and when you go shopping

those songs suck, they’re not even religious songs for the most part, there’s like 200 of them but they all somehow sound like if you jingled a tambourine to “it’s a small world”… why are people so obsessed

 

Can’t imagine what this means. I’m on a road called Central Park Ave near a weed shop. Hurry up

 

Also find the concept of Santa having elf slaves as a weird as hell thing to normalize to children lmao

I admitted I was being a hater I get that Xmas music is sentimental and exciting for a lot of people but I don’t ACTUALLY “get it” ya know hahah. If the songs were better and more updated maybe I’d be more sentimental about em

 

My children have never believed that an actual Santa Claus exists, but they like to pretend and have fun with it

i cant remember if i ever actually believed in santa or not.... i was always a skeptic little shit but, i think i always sorta knew my parents bought everything and hid it (bc i went snooping and found everything every year).

I believed in Santa until I was maybe 8 or 9

Doesn’t feel that wild because I believed Republicans until I was about 17 lol

I would love to have real plants in my house because I really like the aesthetic of greenery, but we have 2 cats who would eat all of them and often some plants/flowers are poisonous to them

 

Also when I talked about real trees I’d like to clarify I don’t mean going out in the wilderness to cut one down lol, I mean just going to a Christmas tree farm to pick one and letting them do that shit for you. They grow them just for the sake of cutting them down, and that’s more justified to me than going out and disrupting an ecosystem and pretending to be some lumberjack for a largely capitalist holiday lol

 

I don’t know how I old I was, but my mom told me the truth about Santa in the drive thru of a Burger King

 

I don't have much sentimental attachment to christmas, but that's my own problem

 

I like the time of year, people seem more cheerful before you get into the cold depressing winter, seeing friends and family, Christmas lights, etc.

 

Jocelyn is obsessed with Christmas so I am guilty by association
