Sorry to hear about your car. I had a similar issue recently too. It sucks. I made a joke, which we do a lot in here, but it’s hard to gauge how far to take it before someone takes offense. I actually did read your post it and it was great. I have read every single post you make regarding Dragon Age and your excitement about it is palpable. In regards to social media: I purge every so often and you and I hadn’t spoken in a while so it just happened. Nothing personal. It doesn’t change anything regarding you and I. I slept like a baby

 

lol so I got what I thought was a flat tire, I got out of work and my tire was flat, upon inspection I saw a nail in it. Whatever, I’ll take it in. Well it was Friday evening, I had to work Saturday so I was like maybe the donut will hold up I only live 10 or so miles from work. Well everywhere is closed Sunday and I had a 2:05 tee time (sorry I play golf it’s my most conservative trait) so that put another 30 ish miles on my donut, I’m now way over how long you’re supposed to drive on it and I got nervous yesterday morning about driving it to work again because I was gonna go to work and then take it in to get fixed on my way home. So I call out, take my car to the shop. Now it’s an old car, tons of problems, but I couldn’t afford anything better at the time even tho I’ve now put enough money into repairs to have afforded something way better with less miles. Anyway after two hours they call me. First of all, they said there’s no leak in my tire it was just low on pressure. I promise you that thing was completely flat out of nowhere but okay whatever maybe they’re right. Then they’re like yeah we did a 33 point inspection on your car and proceed to rattle off a solid 6 things that need fixing one of which requires the dealership to do it. I’m trying to get this car through the winter and finance something a little better after I save up money from the holiday season so I’m just like yeah fuck it whatever but now I’m 2k in the hole and my hours at work keep getting cut and we’re slow as shit until December. You can maybe see why I lost my cool a bit yesterday lol

I think I would love the plaguetale games. I have the 1st one and started it but need to go back and just start again and plow through it. I heard something about the voice acting changing in the 2nd game from a French accent to not and it being controversial? I thought the voice acting was good in the first 10-15 minutes that I played,.

I might make that my weekend game since it seems short. I'm not the best, so I'm going to add a few hours to the time to beat time, but 13 hours or so seems doable for this weekend that I have to myself. Instead of a movie, maybe 3-4 hours of this on Friday night.

I complain there's not enough single player games, then I sleep on, or purchase and never play highly lauded games like this one.

 

plague tale 2 is incredible

 

They are great games. Pretty linear and short but highly recommended. I believe they are on both GamePass and PS+. I could be wrong of course.

 

I read this whole thing and I feel your pain. I once couldn't afford to get a new car so we actually replaced the entire transmission unit on the car I had. It was fucking terrible. At one point I could only drive backwards.

The last time I got a used car a few years ago I had to replace the transmission within a month. Fun fact, one of the things wrong with this car now is a transmission fluid leak I have to take it back in so they can pinpoint it after I drive around a bit with the dye they put in

 

I have the 1st on steam from when it was on sale. I'll knock that one out first then see about the 2nd but I generally am pretty good about knowing when a game is for me so I think I'll love it.

My only issue will be can I stop playing cyberpunk over and over to start something new? :)

 

I do think my work is about to pop the fuck off between thanksgiving and Christmas and I hope I save enough money to move to Chicago in the spring. That way I can park my car for weeks at a time without needing to use it lmao

 

Nabbed Borderlands 3 for $5 so I can play something during the holidays.
