Him being an 2 time Oscar winning actor, he probably has really high standards with all these writers and 2 directors dropping out.. they probably haven't matched his high standards yet but I wouldn't be surprised if behind closed doors.. Ryan Reynolds, his production company and Wesley Snipes have either pitched or gonna pitch a stand alone Blade film of their own after the success of Deadpool and Wolverine and all the love Wesley Snipes's Blade got from his appearance in it.

 

I expect Blade to play a decent role in phase 7
