She’s the epitome of the career politician. Doesn’t stand for anything, and just listens to whoever is in the room. In 2020 she must have had a few more progressive voices on her team that told her she needed to at least pretend to agree on some of the same policies Bernie ran on, and this time around her team was filled with ghouls.

This is the crux of why Trump appeals to people, because he is not a career politician. It’s a deeply flawed position to come to, but I’m starting to understand it. The problem is, he also doesn’t stand for anything and also listens to whoever is in the room with him, and the people in his room are absolute fucking lunatics.

I am reading Politico's Trump cabinet forecast. Here are who is they think are the contenders.

State:

• Ric Grenell - Trump's former ambassador to Germany and acting director of national intelligence
• Bill Hagerty - former Bush administration official who was Trump's ambassador to Japan. Became TN's US senator in 2020 and is one of the most prominent members of the foreign relations committee.
• Robert O'Brien - the only one of Trump's former National Security Advisors who is still loyal to him
• Marco Rubio - has been close with Trump recently and is seen as one of the most prominent foreign policy senators. He has been very pro NATO and pro Ukraine so that could work against him

Defence

• Tom Cotton - was in consideration for SecDef before Trump picked Mattis. Has been outspoken on the Armed Services Committee
• Mike Pompeo -Trump's former SecState and CIA Director
• Mike Waltz - US congressman who is the first green beret to be elected to the House. Former Trump WH advisor

AG

• Jeff Clark - former acting assistant AG. Was indicted along with Trump in GA
• Mike Lee - Senator from Utah. Was once considered by Trump for a supreme court position.
• John Ratcliff - former director of national intelligence and US congressman
