  2. I think you may see a lot of people that had no fucking idea what they voted for?

Wages keeping up with inflation is what determines for many people if they can afford 25K a year childcare so it’s kind of important lol

if you are an incumbent candidate you can’t run on how everything under you is really bad still, you have to find positives to tout about your record or you have no chance. They should be able to talk about the good while also pointing out what they’ll do to fix the bad. But that apparently takes a level of political talent that this current ruling class of Dems just does not have.

  5. you can if you're good at politics, the thing that's supposed to be your entire job if you're running for office. kamala harris, david shore, anita dunn, and all these idiots clearly cannot.

you know what that brief moment where everyone being excited was? when the new nominee looked like a big ass clean break from the incumbent that everyone fucking hated!

the more i read this shit the more i'm pissed at dems lol. was the right a threat to functioning society or were they worthy of cabinet positions and running around with the cheneys? once again burned by trying to play both sides and just alienating everyone

folks didnt really know how true the threats to their livelihoods were

Clearly talking about the positives was a good strategy here lol

I'm not trying to argue with you because I like you, but I guess my only response would be that I think it goes far beyond merely being a messaging problem for Democrats and is actually symptomatic of something deeply wrong with the party that caused millions of voters around the country to either go with the other bad option or just not vote for president at all

there should be a viable party that represents and helps poor and working class people and has their interests and concerns at heart

honestly, even just reading David's post pissed me off so much - my wife and I both have stable, well-paying jobs, and I don't eat eggs anymore because my kids like them and I can't afford to buy enough for me and them to eat them, and that's with me working overtime shifts every single Sunday and usually picking up another overtime shift somewhere else in the week as well. both my kids really wanted to play hockey this year and I had to tell them no because I can't afford to buy all of that gear. I only got to see the ocean twice this summer and I am a fucking beach bum at heart. I've had to call out sick from work recently because it wasn't payday yet and I couldn't put enough gas in my tank to get to the job that I need to buy more gas. and I have it good and so much better than so many other people and I know that

It sucks so much that so many people lack basic empathy. That they need to experience something shitty first hand to understand why everyone has been saying how shitty that thing is. But at the same time these people also aren't self-reflective, so I'm sure they'll find a way to blame it on someone else.

If your point is many Democratic Party leadership/members/etc don’t actually care enough to solve those problems than yeah we’re not arguing because I don’t disagree with you lol. I think part of the reason why their messaging wasn’t/isn’t better on it is because too many of them are beholden to the donor class that controls the purse strings for the party. I’m simply saying when it comes to winning the election, that lack of messaging and being able to articulate what they were going to do to help people probably cost them the election…well, maybe not the only thing that cost them, but you know what I mean.

this is what they do to you.

been a long slide down since 2008.

if watching this shit and the response to Trump (democracy is on the ballot, most important election) and how they actually saw that fight and absolutely capitulated up and down doesn't radicalize you? whew.

hell, even my old ass boomer dad is onboard, he messaged me complaining about the DNC, a place he has given money, and I sent this back:

years ago he wouldn't have listened to any complaints about the dems, or the party being at fault.

if this is something HE is receptive to? I'm tell you ... party is cooked cooked.
