damn I thought the 72-73 Dolphins had the record, but they actually had 14 + 3 playoffs in 1972, won their first in 1973 before a loss, then won 10 straight again lol

The OT rules make sense when a team I like wins, but if a team I don’t like wins then they should change it so that the team I like can win instead

No matter what OT isn’t gonna be perfect. If both teams got the ball people would still find a reason to be pissed. “Well the second team to get the ball in OT can go for 2 and win it!!!”

 

overtime should be determined by an obstacle course style race where the team's coaches compete instead of the players themselves. it is held on a totally separate day from the game so that the standings and records are always askew and nobody knows who is actually in what position standings wise.

 

The goal of OT is always going to be the fastest good result for a game, not the best fast-ish result for a game.

This legitimately annoys me more than the current OT for exactly that reason haha

I'd be okay with it if there were no 2pc/xp in OT and it was just TD or FG
