He's not exactly fully hip-hop but the Jean Dawson show I saw last night blew me away, I did not expect him to be that good live at all

 

Master P has got to be the most underrated Hip Hop icon of all-time, if we're being honest.

The first song was just a normal Benny song with a Jay Electronica feature recorded via Zoom with an outro about voting tacked on. I couldn't get through this

 

Listening to the new Freddie Gibbs again. Really good stuff. Just him rapping over decent beats. No features, no bloat, songs don't outstay their welcome. Really good stuff, could end up being my favourite non Madlib/Alc thing he's done.

 

I gotta agree with you, this is a pretty enjoyable album. I never quite came around to Soul Sold Separately, but this one is pretty immediate.
