I thought it was the worst episode so far.

Haven't disliked an episode this season yet *shrugs* and I was prepared to hate this one because I was like a show that already has too many episodes a season doesn't need longer episodes lol.

 

This boards reactions to the show have dropped off so much. I am feeling the same.
Nothing happens anymore and it's painful to sit through

 

yeah everything is dragging at glacial pace. really hate how we are going into ep 5 on yet another fractured group episode. not a fan.

 

Feel like they needed this episode out of the way before picking up the pace again starting next week

 

It's been slow but understandably so. This season is the start of such a big story. It's basically a whole new world so they have a lot of setting up to do.

 

Yeah idk it's not dragging for me at all. I liked how there was an episode at the Kingdom, then with the Saviors, then back to Alexandria.

 

I try to remember that Negan is literally a comic book villain but a lot of his stuff last night was over the top.

Anyway. Michonne's face when she saw the burned mattresses... :(

 

I still enjoy the show and really enjoy what I've seen of this season so far. It's no longer must watch live for me though. I used to make sure I was in front of my tv as soon as it started. Now, I just watch whenever. I come here and read you guys comments about it and that kind of determines how soon I need to watch.

 

I know with how popular it is it still doesn't have the highest of budgets. With all the CGI they have to invest in, they probably try to save some money on casting by having characters appear so sporadically.

 

It's like Game of Thrones now will characters all over the map. I'd rather the solo episodes than seeing a character for 3 minutes once a week.

 

Laughing at how flip flop this thread is. I think it's been pretty well paced so far, and this season is much more enjoyable than last at start off. I think people expect too much. My only gripe is why was this the special 90 minute episode? could've been condensed. Carl remains my least favorite since season 1.

 

My theory is that they wanted Negan to get his dick down your throat line so they wanted to get past 10PM

 

Like, what did he think he was going to prove pointing the gun at that guy and not wanting to back down from Negan? DId he not see him bash the heads him of two people from their group (because of his one eye?? hahaha)

 

So far I liked episodes 1/3 a lot but really disliked 2. Haven't watched 4 yet.

 

Someone please tell me the tiger eats somebody in the comics.

I'm glad they were able to keep that line in the show.

 

Holy commercials, just a tad overboard with all the commercials during last night's episode. It was honestly starting to get a little ridiculous. Five minutes of the show, one maybe two scenes shown then back to five minutes of commercials.

 

Even if it's building to a huge storyline, this Negan stuff isn't really adding to anything.
His character isn't funny, nor particularly scary and focusing on him is pushing me and my partner away

 

Super un-scary in the daylight when the character's aren't on their knees with guns to their head. He's just a guy. Not even a bigger guy.

 

I'm enjoying Negan more than I have most of the stuff this show has done.

 

Negan is a great character. Even though the premiere had him bashing in the heads of main characters, they've actually done a better job making me despise Dwight instead of Negan even though last week's episode was kind of meant to make you feel sorry for him.

 

Yeah definitely hate Dwight more at this point.
