When you look at all pollsters for Michigan it has been bouncing around. Trump +4 at the time was an outlier when looking at all pollsters. The last two non biased polls in Michigan on 538 were Trump +3 and Harris +8.

The Quinnipiac poll that was +4 Trump was from 10/3 - 10/7 so little more than a week.
