I’ve been there

 

Annoying thing about me, but I always make conversations about myself. I've been trying to be more mindful not to but I do it every time. I think it's like my social anxiety feels like if I'm talking about myself I can sort of feel more in control of the conversation? I like to think it's not just arrogance but it prob comes off that way!

 

This is something that I do that has recently been brought to my attention. I think it’s absolutely a social anxiety thing for me and I feel like I do it to try to relate to people. People have said it’s like I’m trying to one-up or always have a response but I think it’s my way of trying to relate or contribute. I don’t know why asking people questions feels so unnatural to me.

I haven't been accused of one-upping, but I'll often find myself relaying a story to someone in an effort to relate to something they're going through only to realize halfway through that our situations are completely different

 

I went to big lots cause everything is 40-50% off but not everything was clearance eligible apparently and if I would've known that I wouldn't have bought those things but I was also too timid to say anything at the register so oop at me

 

People that obliviously walk in front of your car while you’re driving through a parking lot

 

When someone doesn’t pick up on the fact that a phone call has ran its course so you’re just awkwardly sitting in silence because they’re not getting the hint that you’re wrapping up the phone call

…a 20 minute phone call that only should’ve been 3 minutes max

 

When you ask for a side of ranch several times at a restaurant and they never bring it out.

 

When condensation gets cardboard all wet and ruins it, and then you're just left with soggy cardboard.

 

My Amazon app hasn’t been working and I missed out on a good deal because it wasn’t loading. And still hasn’t. Hasn’t been for a few days. The app is updated.

 

The phrase "The weather has been so weird lately." has been eating me from the inside. Yes, I'm aware that it is weird, because it has been weird for over 20 years. None of this is surprising.

I dropped one of my Galaxy Buds outside when I was out bar hopping last night and I couldn't find it. I had to replace them with cheap $15 wireless earbuds on Amazon.

 

I just paid for the most expensive car wash and it's still filthy with bird shirt caked into it. Cool!

 

Have a flat tire from running over a nail. I honestly didn’t think that actually happened to people as it seems so cliche but it’s actually happened lol

thankfully only a tiny annoyance as a family friend can repair it tomorrow. Could have been much worse as it must have happened just a bit before I got on the highway because steering was a little difficult and I can only imagine if the tire would have gave way / tore apart what would/could have happened.

When waze doesn’t route me the direction I want to go. 3 different directions to get to a friends but none of the were the highway I wanted.

My commute home from work has been ass the past few weeks. What should be a 30-35 minute drive is now taking 40-50 minutes.

What makes it even more frustrating is that there is literally no cause of it. There’s no construction where the bulk of traffic happens. There’s usually not an accident. It’s just… people slowing down for no good reason…

 

my current commute is definitely annoying but tbh is probably not bad for the area. my last one i had to sit through 20-30 minutes of pre tunnel stop and go.
