It’s just pure greed and that bothers me especially in an industry that continues to have smaller games and studios collapse and die but it is what it is

 

Yeah it's greedy for sure, just nothing new from Activision Blizzard and I don't think it swings things in any direction for people who were going to buy it or weren't

 

Yeah, and the people that play these games know exactly what they are getting into

Oh I don't wanna normalize it I just don't think of it as normalized until it exits the obvious culprits like COD and let's say Madden games

When it exits the obvious predatory games I'll start to freak out and take a stand and stuff

 

Oh for sure. I’m just truly impressed with how far the greed continues to go. It definitely doesn’t change anyone’s opinions on it, I’ll end up trying it out on gamepass, but yeah I’m just so frustrated predatory practices like this keep happening, and it always feels like “hey let’s see, we can get away with this and people bought it, let’s try to paygate something else now too”

every time gamers had a choice to vote with their wallet they put a big fat red x on the dumbest thing possible.

 

I'm not trying it, I know it's not for me, I got the last COD and enjoyed it for a bit until metas established and then couldn't stand it and I know this is the same thing all over again but more

So I guess in a way I am one of the people contributing towards the stats decreasing indirectly

 

This goes for day one buying games and then they the same people complain about how broken a game is.

I’m not surprised that it’s happening but for a shooter that relies heavily on listening for other players footsteps for multiplayer..yeah this shit stinks bad

 

- pre-ordering games
- (pre) ordering deluxe editions
- not supporting double AA games
- not supporting innovative games
- endlessly re-buying the same slop
- handwaving away broken games
- buying games with problematic developers (can't wait to have to have this discussion when Kingdom Come Deliverance II comes out)

My son and I love Fortnite and we have tried Warzone and it's a lot of fun.

 

I did enjoy Warzone, I think I like it more than Fortnite

I don't really touch either though unless my kids wanna play Fortnite

 

I had to have a "come to Jesus" moment with myself where I had to repeatedly tell myself "FOMO is stupid" just to get better with my money and not do a lot of these things, I was getting really stupid about it for a while

they made a good entry into an overcrowded market that is very niche to begin with, based on a medium hot franchise. Still sucks that they’re closing but hardly surprising.

if you cannot understand that having Spatial Audio is inherently an advantage in a multiplayer FPS game vs having it in an MMO and a single player game I don’t know what to tell you
