I loved the show - other than the aforementioned dude leaving his seat to make the show all about himself instead of the band.

Agree with probably some mental issue going on, but it was really distracting and I’m sure the band were upset by someone acting out (and literally beating on the stage).

Also, has Aaron ever talked about why he doesn’t play piano live anymore? Especially for a show like this, using backing tracks for piano with so many people on the stage seemed like such a strange choice. Still an amazing time, but I feel like it would have added so much more.

Personally it felt really full even with all the empty seats. To be fair, I was in the section most people bought their tickets for so I guess that could've made it seem more full. If I recall correctly most of the empty seats were toward the very back.

Tickets were super cheap for us: $37 per person in the specific part of our section, probably because they were bought back in April-May. We spent way more on merch and we didnt even get all that much.

Anyone that was there did they say anything about new music by chance?

Haha it’s all good man. In fact, my sister was there last night and confirmed two things. Should You Return was not played (I updated the set list fm page to reflect this) and there were professional cameras filming throughout.

Yeah, I heard they posted Chin Up to their Instagram but haven't had the chance to look. It's good that they got something. Saw a TON of people filming and taking photos anyway.

a question like this is a lot better than what I had in mind, I was mostly referring to the Schermerhorn performance and trying to think of the best way to ask my butthole questions while assuring that I loved it all anyway.

"Hey man Copeland is a top 5 band of all time for me, I have loved your music for 20 years and preordered everything since YAMS, why did you decide to stop playing piano live at these amazing one-off shows"

I 100% understand not wanting to take one on the road for a tour, but I'd think a place like the Schermerhorn probably has one they can roll out for anybody. My main guess is it is somehow health/comfort related, but damn I miss it so much (but I love you Aaron and please keep making music, I'll always be there anyway)

I getcha. I was fully expecting the Ixora piano to make an appearance there. I guess it was at Omnipop the entire time though. Not really bummed but still would've been nice to see. Maybe he's just burnt on playing piano and won't when he doesn't need to. That doesn't seem right at all though. I can't read his mind so I really don't know.

Did Aaron play any instruments or just sing? Major FOMO from this show but unfortunately traveling by plane for a Copeland show isn’t practical for me at the moment.

Sad to hear about the lack of piano, I really dislike seeing a full band with backing tracks of the main instrument ;'( I'd still go see them as I have never had a chance, but I'd have to fight myself to forget about it and not complain hahh. That being said, what an amazing setlist, that's for sure!

They definitely worked around it with the string arrangements and other instruments, but there were a lot of songs where it was notably absent or a backing track and it was very hard not to feel bummed. Still an incredible show and I hope they are able to professionally release it sometime.

big time agree - Aaron if you read this, I'll play bass on the In Motion tour for free. Even drive my own car if you want.

I get it ;( yeah, it would be quite a letdown for me, but not a deal breaker of course - different reasons for those things to work - it's just personally one of my complaints the usual amount of times it happens for live sets ;d

Ps. I'm a bass player, too - Copeland, if you ever need somebody in Europe, you're covered as well hahah

I guess speaking of In Motion: it's nothing huge at all, but for anyone who might care, I uploaded the IM Sony Connect Sessions for Take Care and Coffee to YouTube since from the looks of it, they haven't been on there for a few years. Strange seeing as how the other two were up and how accessible they are.

Is it just me or is this version of Coffee really good? Might be my favorite actually.
