Don’t know if we’ll end up rewatching Halloween Ends for the main reason of it drives me nuts.

Jamie Lee Curtis has her house fucking READY with traps, guns, more traps, etc. while Michael Myers is LOCKED UP in prison for 40 years.

Now he escaped, killed everyone she knows, and is out there somewhere. But just because he wasn’t seen for a measly 4 years she’s just like fuck it, time to live without locked doors, let’s bake a pie, that’s all in the past. Oh shucks, what a drag. Life’s good.

I assume the fan base part since the other two are hard to argue since one is a fact and the other is an opinion but seems pretty cut and dry

but idk, I don’t really see a reason to dislike them more than any other of the high payroll teams unless you’re a Red Sox or Astros fan, think our generation’s version of the Yankees Evil Empire thing is a relic of 15-20 years ago when they had the ARod/Jeter/Clemens core and that this current team is fine and likable enough and that it seems cool if Judge gets a ring, and have never met a bandwagon Yankees fan IRL to have that lasting negative association with them like I do with Boston Sports Fans From Other Metros or LeBron Fans or the new Chiefs/Warriors dual fandom or any of the other things that have been a lot more relevant in the past 25 years than the dated Yankees/Cowboys/Lakers/Duke archetype that probably better describes a Gen Xer

but that aside, I think those two teams are different shades of the exact same thing. Teams that have a massive inherent advantage with their market/financial backing/etc, can’t stop falling over themselves anyways, and get shoved down your throat as a lovable underdog story in the rare cases when they achieve anything close to what you might expect given their massive inherent advantages. Idk that there’s a “more hateable” of them since they’re both the same level of the same brand of annoying
