Praying for the safety of Halitosis and their loved ones partially because it's painful to watch their posts get bleaker and bleaker as this goes on.

Waiting to see them start talking about the benefits of joining the skeleton army.

 

she has the milquetoast lib locked up by default, she's now got the never trump republicans, the only other group to go after are the progressives/left wing and her and the DNC have made it extremely clear they don't want our vote. So, no there's no other audience for her to appeal to. You can either go after the never trumpers or you can go for the progressives/leftists but you can't go for both and she's made it clear which group she wants.

 

I get that you intend to vote for her as some manner of harm reduction, but the way you chose to word this is incredibly grim

 

as you've stated, this is what they've decided that needs to be done to win, which is debatable. to which i've said, people like you are making that it easy by not leveraging your vote or asking anything in return for your vote, creating no further impetus for the dems to actually do anything.

 

I also think it’s worth noting that they’d rather lose than have a left flank that expects anything out of them/share power with the “left” at this moment. If you’re on the left, they’ve drawn a line that keeps you out of the coalition but includes Dick Cheney. They’ll gladly take your vote, but it’s clear you shouldn’t expect anything out of them and it’s delusional to expect them to pivot to the left following the election based on history.

This is my issue with how people like Bernie and AOC and other ostensibly left-wing figures have gone about this. By marrying yourself to them from the outset, you’re not gaining shit. Harris is not moving the left, instead she’s getting you and your followers to go right. It’s clear that the uncommitted movement isn’t getting anything out of Harris either, but at least that’s honest and will hopefully lead people to think outside the Democratic Party that doesn’t want them or the things they want.

 

I'm not arguing with any of those points. I'm just saying that, as someone that's voting for her I can still n critical of her blinders. I've admitted the whole time I personally think it's a mistake to pander to WHO she decided to instead of progressives and I continue to think it's a mistake that she isn't at least giving bread crumbs at least. Like.....it was a late night appearance. Like the stupid answer she gave on The View, at least give something SLIGHTLY substantial? I just feel these 2 appearances were laughably bad with what those non answers she gave.

 

she doesn't have to because of people like you. use your vote as leverage and to get what you want, not to "vote against" something. that's how we end up with candidates like clinton, biden, and harris. sorry, but this is your fault and the fault of others like you that treat this as a sports team and not an exercise in power.

 

This is typically applied to people who voted for Trump, but this is how it’s going to be with Harris if she wins. She’s not going to throw any bones to the left. She WANTS the democrats to be the party of Dick Cheney. It’d be preferable to lose and let Trump take over than to share actual power with or make concessions to the people who want what you and I want. Unless, if the only thing you want is a non-Trump option. In which case, congrats.

This is what I tell people all the time at 39 now. I used to be able to function on like 3 hours of sleep. Even back to back days, 3 hours was enough. Now if I get less than 5, I'm groggy, slow, and grumpy. And I'll probably need a nap or energy drink mid-day.

Otherwise, no ailments, health is good, a little overweight (but that's my own fault), and no chronic pain. But sleep is super important.

 

I think Freud typically seems to be entering this in good faith. Feels like when you try and drill down on what they mean by the things they say, they’re coming from a good place. I just think there’s a lack of analysis/understanding of power there, but this country really tries its best to keep people from ever thinking that way!

I think his persona has really taken a hit in the last few weeks as he has to increasingly toe the line of shitty dem policies. Disappointing but not surprising I guess

 

He's genuine, down to earth, not controversial (Shapiro), and wholesome. He's a gun owner and seems like the guy who would be a Republican, but he's a Democrat. I think the plan was for him to sway those types of Republicans to join Democrats if they were "meh" on Trump.

But he's a shit debater (which he admitted to them in advance of the selection) and shouldn't be put in situations like Fox News.

That's not changing my views of her if that's what you're implying. You can still support someone unconditionally and find faults and *gasp* even point out said faults. You seem to think I'm having some sudden " come to Jesus moment" sort of realization a month later and uh no. She's had my support since day one because she's the person running against Trump. My views haven't changed. Had it been another nominee they'd have my unconditional support.
