Chappell rules and I'm certainly not gonna begrudge anyone taking care of their mental health over anything else, but I don't think those other cancellations are super comparable. I can understand there being greater outrage over the arguable biggest artist in America cancelling a fest set (which people can't get refunded for) the day before. Way more like Frank canceling Coachella weekend 2, which he got plenty of shit for. Not saying the level of scrutiny in the internet age is cool, but I'm not surprised this is a big (negative) story really.

 

I assume they're just waiting to announce their Portland festival where all of us who had tickets to the cancelled show get first dibs and also a meet and greet which includes a fresh hair dye job from her line. It's fine I def live in reality.

Are they are any bridges in songs that people sing as loud or are that iconic? I honestly can't think of any. And I mean that the bridge is the most famous part of the song.

 

Dan really is making the best bridges in pop music today. Olivia and Chappell both have a ton of killer bridges.

 

"weeeeell back at my house I got a California King!" man, the bridge of that song is electric! The whole song really, but bridge is so so good. And the craziest part about the bridges and really whole song, is the chord structure never changes. Usually in bridges it's a variation of the chord pattern, but most of the songs (at least Chappell's) play the same exact chord pattern throughout the whole song. Which just adds to how good her and Dan are, to be able to pull that off as well as they do.

 

Cruel Summer

 

"Driver's License" by Olivia is the big one I can remember. "Somebody Else" by The 1975 is another one that comes to mind.

 

Yeah that bridge in Driver's License is what first made me perk my ears up and give Olivia Rodrigo a listen when I was hearing it everywhere. Such a good bridge.

I feel like a lot of Taylor Swift bridges are popular but not sure if that's widespread or a fan specific thing but I feel like she's known for her bridges. Love a good bridge... I think. Idk anything about song structure LMAO don't ask me the difference between a bridge and a verse
