He doesn't really say anything we haven't heard before but I think Billie Joe is spot on this entire video and why I'm so proud to support his band

 

How do you live?

 

It is going to make for a hell of a tour. Angry Billie is my favorite Billie

 

If one is in the backyard I try to scare it away -- they can be super aggressive but a lot of the time they just slither away. Sometimes into the neighbour's yard, then I go and let them know. But the aggressive ones or those that won't leave... I don't want to upset any animal lovers but you generally have to get pretty close and personal using a shovel. If one bites your dog it's a goner (cats are basically immune somehow) and if it bites a human you have an hour or two to get to a hospital. So you just can't take that risk.

 

Made it home. Two groups broke off. The small business on the side my building had all their windows smashed. That's not right at all. Gonna try and help them tomorrow.

When you see videos tomorrow you'll see my building. The violence was a separate group that tried to co opt Gregory's protest.

Could there actually be something to this?

 

Trump's campaign was admittedly in contact with Russia. I'd believe it. If the Republicans stand to gain from the hacking, why would they do anything about it?

 

I hope someone audits it.

the respectability "we need to come together" stuff is starting to get beyond grating

 

I was having a convo about this earlier today, in part bc I have a lot of friends who are going the petition the electors route.

I am personally conflicted because I think one of the things that actually makes our country unique and good is the fact that we have a path to power that has been respected for hundreds of years. I don't know if there's ever been a time when electors have differed, but he won fair in square as bitter of a pill as that is to swallow.

Now, here's the catch. I'm in a position of privilege. I'm white (though don't always look in), straight, educated and was raised Christian. I realize it's easy to say we should just accept that he won, when I'm not someone he's targeting. I mean I am bc I'm a woman but to a significantly lesser extent. Who am I to tell my friends they should accept a man who literally has called a country to arms in solidarity of hating them? I can't accept that, but yet I do support the concept of peaceful transition.

It's just a clusterfuck.

I had one hopeful thought today which was because he's so fucking stupid and stubborn maybe, just maybe, Congressional Republicans will be like do X and he will say no just because he doesn't like being told what to do? And he will try Y which will be awful and Congress will block? Maybe we can get 4 years of stalemate.

 

I've seen reports of Carson trying to help design the replacement for the ACA. silver lining in a few years when health care is completely destroyed, maybe I will get to design a system from the ground up without patching problems? Of course who knows how many people will be dead or very sick by then. Sigh.

 

That panned out.

 

Attacking small businesses is going to turn a city that agrees with the premise against a movement because of the outliers. We have real local work to be done and if the activists get tagged with the violence of a few that's gonna set it back.

Not cool. Harming a small coffee shop does nothing.

 

As does protesting without a tangible ask.

 

This is another reason why I hate the Ec.

 

I do believe in a tangible display of unity. Of collective anger and expression and solidarity.

And then we ask. Loudly.

 

I agree with you but I think you have to have an ask. The ask can be as simple as see us, we are angry, concerned, happy about X. I just mean if you organize there needs to be a point to it. I've been up awhile so may not be making sense. Must sleep but too wired post concert.

Also, he was given questions in advanced? And he still stumbled in all three debates? Holy shit, if that's true... just wow. People still want to give the guy a chance? Are they going to have to write the names of foreign leaders on his hand?

 

If there is, then maybe there is a chance of waking up from this nightmare before it ever takes office.

 

Just plays into his not a politician crap. The thing is a "politician" lies, cheats, steals, spins their way to power. I think we can check all those off in the Trump column

 

Wonder how the census of 2020 if we still have one will change the electoral allocation much
