I get how angry people are about this and I'm torn about the reaction.

On one hand -- criminal behaviour during protests feeds the whole "you're no better than them" argument
On the other -- maybe the hateful Trump crowd needs to see such a show of strength to know the seemingly gentle left won't be walked all over easily.

I can't advocate any serious crimes of course. And again, I'm not even American so can't relate on the same level as most of you. But would love to hear your thoughts...

i assure you - whatever "criminal behavior" you're witnessing is not half as bad as what youd be seeing if trump would've lost the way hillary lost

Of course. I don't give two shits if some progressives are ticketed for loitering. I guess even just the notion of people protesting against the result of a fair democratic process seems off-putting to me. I'd be so pissed if a bunch of redneck Trump supporters were doing it.

  15. I've seen no *real* criminal behavior. And I'm standing here right now. It's a fun excuse tho to break stuff up.

Apparently, Trump removed his plans to ban Muslims and to withdraw from the Paris Accord when he became the President Elect. Hooray?

Agreed. Don't love the idea of protesting the result of an election though... I know a bunch of dumb fucks just voted in an awful human. I couldn't personally protest democracy.
A protest against the voting system that allows a candidate to lose the popular vote? Definitely -- although remember that has worked for and against both parties.
A protest against Trump because of all he has said and done (which I assume this is) -- yes.

For anyone protesting purely because they don't like that he won the election, protesting the election result itself... democracy is a helluva right to have you know?
