Pennsylvania 2016 ballot measures - Ballotpedia

Don't know if this was reported on much, but PA had this terribly-worded referendum on its ballot.

Basically the amendment was phrased to say it would "require judges to retire at 75" instead of saying it "moves the retirement age for judges from 70 to 75."

Passed with 51% of the vote. Never gave people a fair view of what they were voting for.

Yeah but would at least show the people our system is broken. If they're faithless electors it will at least be another note of him not being legitimate

 

If nothing else, we can do things as individuals. Donate. Protect, harbor, assist immigrants however possible. For example, many cities have mutual aid organizations for refugees. Chicago has one of the largest in Iraqi Mutual Aid Society and I just found this one for my city RIAC – Refugee and Immigrant Assistance Center – Boston, Worcester, Lynn. Encourage people to learn self-defense if possible. Unionize, strike, support fight for $15. Like, for real, more and more the images that come to my mind are armed black panthers trailing cops. That shit rules. Just for inspiration. In my city, we have pretty bad homelessness levels, and lots of folks die every winter, so I think that's what I'll be focusing on over the winter when huge demos die down. Research what policy issues are especially facing your city and consider how you can help. Join and form community with LGBT groups, immigrant groups, working class groups, BLM affinities, etc. There is pure strength in infrastructure that comes with numbers and regular, well-attended events. Read this shit!!! Print posters and pamphlets and shit...for real anything
