yeah I don’t think we should speak for the dead but my first thought was “I really doubt Riley would’ve been cool with this” and like I get the band wanting to move on and make a buck but there’s gotta be better offers for them out there, optics wise

 

I really want to see Nile on their upcoming tour but I also really really really don't want to see Six Feet Under

 

yeah the support is lame as hell but I'll still go

last time I saw them tour it was with Overkill. Bring that energy back

 

Nails tonight

 

Dudes in the metal and hardcore scene are the worstttttt

 

One of the better djent bands. Could've happened a while ago though , started becoming really redundant

So how was Nails then?

 

TIL Veil of Maya has been a band for 20 years. They got a lot of mileage out of being a mid-level djent band tbh.

 

Pretty sick. A fight broke out during their set and Todd wanted to say something but he just kept pushing on. A person was literally thrown over a merch table. Todd was especially chipper the entire time. All the other bands crushed it.

man I fell hard into that djent life 2010-2012. I was but a wee lad

 

I spend a lot of time thinking about how those background-metalcore bands like veil, erra, etc rose up and filled the void when mid-aughts metalcore faded away. Wild trajectory to me.

 

First Veil record was pretty decent but it's crazy to age and see how long some of these bands have lasted.

 

I do have fond memories of seeing Veil of Maya, Born of Osiris, After the Burial and Shai Hulud on Super Bowl Sunday though. They were playing the game behind the bands.

 

Really sucks that Matt is a maga because the Kublai Khan goes hard. Probably their best release.

I would say rap community is the worst due to their non-chalant misogyny and racism in their lyrics, but black metal has murdering fascist nazi homophobes, etc. Metalheads r music equivalence to Gaming.
