Ah, yes, I live in western Tennessee, and it's pretty unreal how much hate there is here for other races. The minorities that come into the pharmacy I work at are wonderful people, and have way more decency than the old white folk that are so against them. Super ironic situation we have going on here.

 

I turn 35 then. I'd do it. I think plenty of more qualified people would stand up and risk being jailed, killed, etc as well. But even if he doesn't, there are people who are willing to fight for what this country was founded on.

 

Then I would finally have to put my money where my mouth is and take up arms against some of my countrymen.

Thought makes me even sicker than I was before. I don't want to do that. :(

Got this nugget from my mom in a facebook message. White Christian conservatives have the largest persecution complex and detachment from reality I've ever seen.

Where are people hearing anything about republicans hating all these groups and want inc to take away the rights they have. (The only thing I've heard in this regard was tightening up on immigration from Muslim countries and I haven't heard anything about that lately. The only hate rhetoric I've heard or seen in all of this is a hate for white, strait Christians. And the only thing I've heard from the white strait Christians (of which I am) is to pray for our country, come together and Love Everyone as Jesus did and does. I'm afraid, especially if they are killing themselves, they are doing so based on a completely false narrative. Show me a legitimate, current source that shows there is anything on the Republican agenda to support discrimination against anyone or taking away rights...the military is now accepting transgendered people and, I've not heard any backlash from my peers on this and all of the training we give is in support of diversity and inclusiveness. I would never have voted at all if I had heard anything where this hate is actually true...as for me and everyone I know, this hasn't even been discussed...so where is this coming from? I'm really concerned and seriously want to know because I'm just not getting it, hearing it, or seeing it from the Republican Party's position.

 

Listen, today has been a horrible day for some of us. I can't do this stupid shit if you're not going to go read what was posted earlier that addresses exactly what you're talking about for probably the 20th time in this thread. We're not trying to be assholes. We've all thought (and still do frequently) we were right about shit when we were completely wrong. It happens in this thread daily. The difference is most of us are here because we want to listen and learn and not stagnate in our presumptive perspectives. I can't argue this with you. Besides the fact that it shouldn't need to be I literally cannot. That's why I referred to the links from earlier.

I took a nap earlier and when I woke up forgot Trump won for a split second. Then I remembered and it was right back to despair

 

I described it to a friend like a bad break up. Where you forget the reality.

told i was committing guilt by association. well, yes. you are associated with the kkk. i'm ok with judging you.

 

i keep reminding myself hillary won the popular vote. that matters. the problem is that this country is so geographically segregated in terms of politics that the cards are stacked against democrats in the electoral college. there needs to be a way to bridge that gap between urban areas and rural areas in the democratic party or they're going to have an even harder uphill battle.

 

ask them why they think the kkk endorses him
