Yeah and, in those days, it was like ALL CASH so they'd have like...$50k in cash they'd have to take in the bank. Wild times.

That’s nuts considering Warped usually had like, what, 30-40 dates per summer?

Oh hell no, as i've gotten older it's harder to go to so many shows. Makes it easier to see a bunch of artists I like and some new ones. I still try to go to my favorite bands headlining shows.

Yeeeeeep, this this this. As someone that grew in the middle of the lower peninsula without easy access to go to club shows 1.5-2+ hours away from me growing up, Warped was the equalizer where I could convince my parents to drive me to this ONE show every summer and see a handful of bands. What's the point of even calling it Warped if it's just the same as everything other emo nostalgiabait fest, y'know?

Same, I lived in deep southwest VA & would have to drive 3-5 hours for a normal club show. On particularly good years I'd do 2-3 dates, & could see like 40 different bands in a long weekend. Warped Tour was legitimately the only thing that kept me going in my late teens & early twenties. I know I'm not alone in that, it's such a cool thing

Kevin Lyman is doing guided tours at the punk rock museum in Las Vegas the same days as When We Were Young. I wonder if he'll give more details then. I wonder how long after WWWY they'll announce Warped Tour's lineup.

I've been refreshing Ticketmaster trying to get a decent Weezer ticket for tonight in Philly... this entire section of over 100 seats wasn't available all day, & they randomly popped up at 3:30, 2.5 hours before doors. And they're significantly cheaper than all other available tickets, & they're "Featured" so they pop up first. The one missing dot in the 2nd pic is me haha. How the fuck does TM do this??

Those were definitely production holds released once they got the show into the building and saw they didn't need to kill them.

This. I’d have to drive 1.5 hours to Ventura just to see bands I liked since a lot of those bands rarely made it to the area for their own headlining shows. And then once it stopped coming to Ventura, I made the 3.5 hour hike to Pomona for the same reason

They’re doing the same thing rn for the Green Day show in LA tomorrow. I’m considering pulling the trigger last minute

Trying not to get my hopes up that this might hit up Providence Park in Portland since they hit Seattle on this last leg. Doubly trying not to get my hopes up and buying into the Big 4 rumors and expecting a Metallica/Megadeth/Anthrax lineup for this leg.

  21. On a $20 ticket I am definitely buying merch but if I’m paying an insane amount just to get into the venue then I’m probably not going to be buying a shirt

I'm starting to think there may have been a reason that they haven't played together for many years.

Also side note: it's Stephen Perkins (drummer) birthday today too. Happy fucking birthday I guess.
