That loneliness is not a function of solitude.

Obama saying with a straight face to give Trump a chance today has to be one of the harder things he's done in his presidency. Same for Hillary. Imagine working your whole life to become the president and then lose to this monster and THEN having to give a graceful concession speech.

If only Biden could've run. He essentially would've been the anti-Trump.

I don't like the whole "pray for his success" cause of the uncertainty of what that means, but I do hope the left works with trump on the 10% of the stuff he's talked about that is decent and block him on everything else

Just looking at the numbers in Trump's tax plan and what Ryan actually wants to do, the psychological and material wages of whiteness may not be enough mitigate the havoc that they are going to wreak on the petty bourgeoisie and the working class white voters. Then again, the libidinal economy of racism has proven to be quite strong as well.

Be kind; everyone is on their own journey.

I've had literally that same conversation with someone...and have learned it's not even worth discussing. I haven't talked to one rational fact based supporter of his and gave up a LONG time ago.

Fuck man, no food stamps either so I'm gonna be homeless and hungry as fuck? Great. Hope the majority of those idiots who voted for him love it as well.

  15. Well, I'd be selling high right now. But yeah. I think I'm going to need more liquidible than I was expecting, just to try and brace for anything that may come up.

I can't believe republicans were openly saying they'll block clinton every step of the way before the election even happened and now democrats won't do the same to them after the election

This election wasn't about the democratic candidate. It was more about the far right having a voice imo.

Okay yeah that's more what i think about when I hear organizing, like registration drives and GOTV stuff, etc...I assumed most were looking more for the communist revolution type organizations.

I just don't see a system where the office holders aren't relevant I suppose. Especially now when polarization is so strong and the right wing is as far right as it has become.

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say here...

My office had a 30 minute meeting and people had the opportunity to share their feelings. It felt good to cry with others and listen.

Heh thank you. I recently lost my grandmother who was a very unconditionally loving woman, always putting others before herself- I've been thinking a lot about love and empathy ever since. It's been a real eye-opener.
