Phillies already promoting one of the pitching prospects from the Gregory Soto trade. This was the worst O's deadline trade and I don't think it's particularly close tbh (even with how bad Trevor Rogers was- they still have 2 more years of control).

 

Rogers trade is def worse as Norby and Stowers are both better prospects with effectively the same cost control as Johnson. Norby has the potential to be a multi-time all-star and was the best prospect traded at the deadline. Even what he’s shown thus far is paced out for a 3-4 WAR projected over a full season at very thin position league wide.

soto hasn’t been good, but we gave up so much more for so much worse for Rogers. Two more years of control can go on forever and is useless if he can’t get out of the minor leagues.
