you might be bummin in SC but there's probably some organizations you'll be able to get involved with. give it a few days/weeks i have a feeling a lot of these groups are going to be making themselves as visible as possible

idk. seems plausible. i do think a lot of people are disillusioned and disconnected. not to excuse D's, but R's seem to have a pretty good racket going; obstruct the gov't than tell people that it isn't working for them.

 

i never had any use for this band but rage against the machine is making a lot of sense right now

 

You will not believe the very short conversation that just happened in this household. And I haven't even started

 

Maybe I should go see a movie or something today, need to get my head out of this for at least a couple of hours.

 

I know I haven't been the most PC person on this site, but hearing all these stories is so saddening. I think it's because I live in a bubble, and I consider myself incredibly lucky. I just flat out don't associate with anyone shitty and don't experience prejudice which is weird because I am in the center of the Midwest and work at a call center with every type of person. I never knew it was this bad. If it gives any hope, not all people are bad. I haven't come into any negative comments here at work and everything seems fine.

 

Eminem's "White America" came to mind this morning as I was reading through results. I had not thought about that song since it first came out. When I played it out of curiosity, it only made things more grim.

 

already saw Doctor Strange (great!), so I'm thinking about seeing Hacksaw Ridge tonight for the same reasons.

 

Not saying this to be condescending, but you should do everything you can to get outside of your bubble. Your life will be better because of it and it will make you a better person. And I say this as someone that has a lot more growing and understanding and expanding to do myself.

 

Doctor Strange was entertaining, Hacksaw was okay, Handmaiden is incredible. Hopefully I can get to Moonlight.

 

It makes sense, enormous drops like that don't just happen for no reason (unless the voting age population is decreasing, which I don't believe it is)

 

I know what you mean. Tomorrow night I have the choice between a Labour party meeting and going with other friends to see Arrival. Honestly not sure which to go with

 

It's too bad Arrival isn't showing until tomorrow, I would be headed directly to see it after work if it was possible

 

Arrival looks awesome.
