The allegations surrounding Emily aside, it feels nice to be anticipating a new Linkin Park album again.

 

Really enjoy what I’ve heard so far, though not so thrilled about what I’ve read.

One thing I'm kind of wondering about is the fact that Cedric hasn't made further comment since that original post. It's neither here nor there, I guess.

 

I mean, I don't know why he would, he's not a news outlet. That post was a comment on a Dead Sara post then they deleted it. Maybe he'll say more now, maybe he won't

 

Yeah, no, I know, and there could be a thousand different reasons why he wouldn't, but it's just an idle thought. I mean, if we're talking about trying to hold someone accountable, I guess I'm just curious why there wasn't more of an attempt to make it stick.

 

I think he got blocked? Considering the shit he and his wife went through, like their dogs getting poisoned after he started speaking out about scientology iirc, he may have laid low for their safety as well. I'm curious to see if he reacts in any way in the next couple days.

 

Oh, that's a good point. That's actually really fucking scary, so I wouldn't blame him if he kept quiet just because of that. Honestly, I'd forgotten that happened.

 

Yeah, with the amount of threats and actual violence that Scientologists committed against him and his family, I’m sure he probably stopped speaking out to avoid anything else happening to them.

 

i was skeptical, but wow she sounds great! im gonna watch this concert a few more times to really get it, but wow. i am incredibly impressed and excited for this linkin park tribute band.

 

Just going to post this in this thread as well so people can be aware about what exactly their new singer has been accused of/why people feel uncomfortable with her being the new singer.

 

Yikes. Gonna be a hard pass for me.

 

Listened to the song, and it sounds like a perfect comeback single, honestly. It's very distinctly Linkin Park, it's great to hear Mike's voice again and he's still singing better and better with everything he does. I also agree that Emily has a bit of Chester's grit in her voice so it's pretty obvious why she was chosen sonically.

Weirdly enough I can't help but listen to the lyrics and not think of what we're talking about with Emily and scientology, and I wonder idly if she's still with them or if she left like Cedric did.

I don't know how to feel. I want to be supportive of Linkin Park because I can't imagine how hard this was to come back and do something new after Chester died. I just hope this gets addressed somehow, and soon.
