He was tired of the Red Sox losing because they wouldn't spend money on the team so he switched to a team that loses AND spends money on the team

 

The Orioles are so weird right now. We somehow still have the best record in the AL despite underperforming heavily lately. We just lost to the White Sox 8-1 what the fuck lmao

 

The Red Sox gave up trying and let Xander Bogaerts walk so I walked with him

For what it's worth the Xander move was probably the right move for that team, he has severely declined with the Padres

Replacing him with the cautionary tale that is Story was not (and letting Mookie go in exchange for a rapist or at minimum rape enabler and an okay catcher was not)

The Xander move, while maybe the right move, was the last straw for me because they had done just so many other hilariously unserious things prior. They’re committed to being a low payroll wildcard hopeful which is infuriating for a team that charges me $18 for a Sam Adams.
