Israeli government's actions clearly deserve the bulk of the blame though, as they are the ones with the most power to bring about change. But I don't see how killing innocent concert goers helps anything it just brought about even more death and destruction for gaza

Neither of those have mandatory military service though. So you have a society where nearly 2/3 of people think genocide is good, or not going far enough and then those same people are put into a position to directly commit those actions. That's the exact opposite of innocent

you understand targeting a festival or civilian targets wasn’t the plan? so knowing it wasn’t the plan, seems like the main issue is the festival being where it was. huge liability issue!

As @Victor Eremita said yesterday, it seems to be the case that Hamas did not intentionally go after the festival goers/was unaware it was taking place. And i said, if you have the stomach to go to a music festival next to a concentration camp, you get what you’re going to get. Couldn’t be me.

Is there anything Hamas could do in their resistance to Israel that could make you go "okay actually maybe they are also evil" or does the mere fact that they are resisting give them a pass to do anything free of criticism?
