    The spiciest meme

Hold Your Breath followed by Take a Breath is still so funny to me

spencer once responded to a tweet asking about recurring title themes, pointing out take and hold your breath. Also mentioned in motion/in regards (I think)/in completion.

Looks like it… if this is from a new album, would be wild if two lead singles by them have “teeth” in the title

Every song is about a different kind of tooth

Odd timing since they are touring TOCS through the end of this year. They have been sitting on this new album for quite some time though. Will be interesting to see how they promote this alongside the current tour. Early 2025 release.

  11. There's a 1 min clip on TikTok and I can confirm lol. I do like the drum and bass influences, never expected that from them but from what I hear it seems to complement their usual dark soundscape, even though I Instantly thought of PinkPantheress lmao. The beginning of the riff at the end of the clip reminds me of Korn so it seems like the song has a couple surprises up its sleeves.

Digging the preview but hoping it’s an outlier sonically and the rest of the new album is heavier

That riff at the very end is cool. Reserving full judgement until it is out.

I feel like this band really loves red herrings and getting people riled up with weird, vague teases, so I have no thoughts on this until I hear a whole lot more.

  17. Really excited to hear the full song

Yeah they’ll forever be a hit play on release day band for me before i make any judgements. I hope it’s not a 6 month roll out. from how they’ve been talking about it I am excited that they feel they are sitting in a heater of an album.

    House of Protect Ron.

Having two singles with the word teeth in them is objectively silly lol. Stoked to see what this new album cycle is all about. The last record was cool but just didn’t land for me personally. I have been a die hard since middle school. Hoping they can grab me again with this one. I am optimistic they scrapped a bunch of material and are all in good spirits with this one and personally I think Underoath does better with an outside person producing and distilling the UO madness into a cohesive release. I also think UO never misses on first single choices. On My Teeth and Damn Excuses were perfect intro songs and then the second singles were a little more out there in the track listing. Art direction is on point as always too. I am really annoyed with this tik tok trend of dropping a one minute clip days before a single release. Not a tik tok guys so I can’t snoop even if I wanted to, I think its kind of lame though. The short insta clip is giving me House of Protection vibes though. Their first clip was a little sample kind of like this one as well.

My personal fever dream is they reach the out there heights of LITSOS and Disambiguation in terms of big artistic swings that move the scene forward. Will settle for a post reunion high point too tho.
