Hinchelwood getting cooked for about 45 mins. Dunk I have no idea what he was doing on that goal. Idk if he thought he got fouled but what a let down.

Pedro looks up for it tho.

That’s hilarious what was Rice even booked for!? Surely it’s Veltman that should be walking after kicking him

Broadcast speculated that rice didn’t get out of the way of the restart and toe poked the ball away when veltman went to restart lol

I get that by the absolute letter of the law, that’s a yellow, but surely the ref has to use some common sense there?

Put Pedro on the bench because I thought I could trust Arsenal. SMH.

Yeah I get it. But Christ, ref has to just talk to them. Put Rice on a final warning. Like it’s a yellow according to the rules, but how often does that happen and no yellow is given

  15. It was such a minor touch from Rice that it seems, and is, very harsh. I think the key difference is that he did it as the Brighton player was about to put the ball back in play. So he essentially blocked a free kick. Still harsh. And if I were Arsenal my main argument would be that the ball hadn’t stopped moving so it was an illegal free kick anyways.

Especially because Joao Pedro kicked the ball away in the first half and nothing was given.

He set the bar and then decided to break it.

  18. I didn’t see it so this is a genuine question. Did he kick it away right as the whistle blew or did he kick it away as an Arsenal player was about to put it in play? That’s the difference to me.

Fair play to Chris Kavengh, massive performance on his Brighton debut.

Us playing a midfield duo of Jorginho and Partey is already nightmare inducing.
