9 Years of Shadowws: i unlocked the armor's final form and it is soooo prettyyyy ahhhhh

here's a screenshot of it (spoilers obviously)

also before i forget i wanna quickly mention that the representation in this game is so refreshing. there's a queer character, a character in a wheelchair, and the main character is wearing an eyepatch, but none of that is brought to the forefront in the story. the game is set in this beautifully constructed world and they just... exist in it

 

Fromsoft is my favourite developer and Shadow of the Erdtree was amazing but I still think this is going to be GOTY

oh, there actually isn't much left of the game after this point. i basically went to the next area, reached the final boss, found it way too hard, and watched the ending on youtube haha. such is sometimes the case for me with metroidvanias, unfortunately. if the final boss is too frustratingly difficult i just don't bother with actually beating the game. it's the exploration i love about the genre

but yeah! aside from that one boss early on i had trouble with, i really, really liked this! decent story and gameplay, but really beautiful art and music. would recommend for sure.

the zones in the new wow expansion are on another level. theres been some up and down zone design in the last handful of expansions (shadowlands just did not feel like a wow game at all and dragonflight felt bland) but these....these are great. the first two zones are pretty good, but man hallowfall and azj-kahet are just quintessential wow feeling zones. really loving the feel of the nerubian kingdom, its exactly what i was hoping it would be like all those years ago when we got a peak in the wrath dungeons.

 

Finally finished the OG Life is Strange and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to the sequel.

May play Before the Storm too but we’ll see if I get to it. I never played the prequel material for True Colors either even though it was free with my preorder lol
