Prometheus rules and is my 3rd favorite Alien movie (I haven’t seen Romulus yet)

I forgot it was an Alien movie until the last 3 minutes…

 

It lacks the charm even 4 somehow has.

I don’t hate Prometheus, just not into the mythology stuff it tries to add

 

Watching Pieces, straightforward but fucked up

 

Charlize not running out of the way from the ship and the one guy treating an alien snake like a cat. I mean come on, that’s just lazy ass writing.

 

Meanwhile I did just enjoy Ginger Snaps a lot. Fun little werewolf story.

is the sequel or prequel worth watching?

 

Straightforward is NOT the word I would use for Pieces haha, the writing is super bizarre but the set pieces and kills and pretty unique. Fun slasher!

 

it has somewhat mixed reviews but I liked it. interested to hear your thoughts on it

 

I guess I mean it’s like sincerely using so many cliches. There’s a woman skating through a mirror held sideways on the street! The shadowy figure looks straight out of a beware of strangers poster. There’s an obvious gruff red herring guy right away.

but yeah it got to some out there places in the second half.

everyone seems to miss that whatever flaws Prometheus may have, they are all made up for by Idris Elba talking like a Texas ranger and making eyes at Charlize Theron, I mean cmon

 

Saw Strange Darling last night. Absolutely loved it. Contender for my flick of the year this point.

 

Covenant wasnt bad but just added more questions than answers from Prometheus. Gonna try to see Romulus tonight.

Anyone else tuning into the Last Drive-In Nightmarathon on Shudder tonight? Gonna try to catch the first three at least, don't think I'll make it past like 4am lol. Kind of mad at myself for watching Nightmare on Elm Street this week because there's no way they don't show it

going to a concert tonight a state away. while it'll be a great time - kind of bummed i can't do the marathon. always a blast.

 

I have Greek Monsters and American Monsters but have yet to actually try them...
