as a USMNT fan, would be cool to have an American in the squad (other than Trent ), but I love Kelleher and that's a big downgrade imo

Once or twice I’ve had the bad dream of being asked to play for a professional sports team and of course it’s quickly found out that I am in fact an amateur, Matt Turner is the closest I’ve ever seen to that being realized IRL.

 

Yeah I’m kind of confused what people want lol like, what options even are out there that aren’t extremely expensive? We got dead weight out, got younger, and improved the team. Don’t understand how that’s a failure at all.

Watching his like three appearances for Arsenal was wild. Like a competition winner plucked from the crowds was suddenly in goal for one of the biggest clubs in England lol.

 

I respect that he clearly worked hard and maxed out his potential to the absolute limit to become a decent enough shot stopper, but you can really tell his lack of absolute any time spent in high level youth/pro set ups for pretty much his entire career hinders his ability to read and cope with such a fast paced game.Might have done well enough in decades past when pure reflexes and athleticism could take you further in the game as a keeper but in this day and age there’s just so much more to it than that.

honestly, I feel fine about Gravenberch/Endo/Morton(?) as the 6. I quite like Mac Allister there last season even if it does waste his talents a bit. I wouldn’t mind seeing Szoboszlai there just to see. I wish we could just clone Mac Allister or Szoboszlai instead of dealing with the DM market. Just a midfield of 8s doing bits all over

Got tickets to Bolton v Exeter on Saturday. Random game, but it's part of my efforts to go and watch more live games. The clash with Everton's game isn't ideal, but who knows, perhaps it will be an omen.

He was so good in his year at Düsseldorf. I just checked and it seems he is at Colorado Rapids now since January. It's a shame that he could not land a gig as a first choice keeper in Europe somewhere.

 

I’ve got a list of ones I’d love to see, but not really feasible, I think, being across the ocean. Been to two in Italy (Udine 4x, AS Roma once) and the Camp Nou twice. And then Hamburg for a concert.

 

I’m trying to plan a weekend getaway next season (or even maybe this coming spring) to do three PL matches in three days but I’m a teacher so I have to plan around days where school is off.

 

Been to a few, and would naturally like to do more (especially abroad), but it's not really feasible right now.

I’m trying to go to as many PL ones as possible.

I’ve done The Emirates, The Etihad, Old Trafford, The Amex, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, The City Ground, Stamford Bridge, Craven Cottage, Villa Park, The Gtech, The Vitality, Selhurt Park, and Molineux. Probably missed one lol.

Abroad, I’ve been to Atleti, Barcelona, Mallorca, Sevilla, Inter/Milan, PSG, Ajax, as well as some US sports stadiums.

A friend and I were considering going to the a different FA Cup game in every round and getting as far as we could.
