There’s something I really really hate about Joelinton. That miss was nice.

Slightly worried that there seems to be no talk of an incoming attacker. We basically have Havertz, Jesus, Saka, Martinelli, and Trossard for the front three positions. Feels like we definitely need one more, who can in particular cover for Saka.

    excited to get drawn against:
    Real Madrid — obvious reasons
Barca — first meeting since 4-0 at Anfield?
Leverkusen — Xabi Alonso v Slot
    Atalanta — Europa league rematch
Feyenoord — Slot reunion with Feyenoord
Salzburg — Lijnders and Klopp’s kids (Clark, possibly Bajcetic)
Sparta Prague — put 11 past them last season over both Europa legs
    Stuttgart — Endo reunion

  4. I’m the opposite regarding you guys. I’m terrified the money being made on these outgoings is funding the deadline day move for Gyokeres lol because that’s a league winning move imo.

Barnsley lost to our u21’s in the EFL Trophy and now they’re drawn against us in the Carabao Cup. Guarantee they win.

Tbh we apparently have the money to do something like that anyway, but we’re trying to be cautious financially. Imo we don’t need to be,
Now is the time to be ambitious, but I trust they know better than me lol.

Part of me wonders of they are waiting for Guardiola to go (seems like this is his last season), and then use that money to capitalise.

    excellent decision

Bajcetic will get plenty of playing time after essentially missing the last year with growing pains, low stakes domestic league matches (versus moving to La Liga), and harder UCL matches — good mix imo

should be good for his development if all goes to plan, plus reunited with a coach he knows well and who knows Bajcetic well

and at least for me, Salzburg matches are free to watch on the OneFootball app, which is a nice bonus

Brutal. 9 minutes into debut, hacked down, out for weeks/months.

Happy that Ramsdale is going to get more opportunities at Southampton, but worried what another relegation might do to his reputation?

Great guy and easy to root for, but I think there has been a clear upgrade in how consistent we have been since Raya has been in goal (obviously a lot to do with Saliba/ Gabriel).

Awful. Hurzeler said it was a clear red that didn’t even get a yellow given to the crawley captain who made the tackle.

Reminds me of the sort of thing that happens at Sunday League level all the time. You get some over zealous clogger throwing themselves into tackles and generally being a risk to all those involved.. Wouldn't surprise me at all if the Crawley captain's level is further down the pyramid.

    Liverpool's draw is ridiculous.

Liverpool's is tough. I think PSG's is much harder. Almost the hardest draws in every pot I think.

Barcelona's could've been much, much worse. But of course we got Bayern. It was always going to be them or PSG.

    Pretty decent draw.

Inter and PSG are tough but that's to be expected. Pot B teams aren't exactly big names when we could have drawn Milan, Atleti, Juve, but they are fun teams. Sporting are probably the hardest pot 3 team so that's a bit annoying but it is what it is.

  25. Nothing but negative reactions from fans. “Disgraceful”. “No ambition”. I’ll never understand being this constantly miserable lol this window has been perfectly fine.

Solanke - pretty sure he was a club-record signing. An upgrade from our previous ST. A great fit for what we want out of our ST. And a better option than Toney, who these same fans would’ve been happy with just because it’s a name.

Odobert - out of nowhere signing but already looks like a hit (I know it’s actually too early to say that). He has the exact profile for a winger that Ange wants.

Bergvall and Gray - two young midfielders that came in and immediately started fighting for a starting spot. Both have insane potential. With Bergvall, we convinced him to join us over Barca. With Gray, we hijacked a deal from another PL club.

Where is the lack of ambition? 4 players who will come in and immediately have a positive impact. Ange identified the striker he wanted and the club spent more than we have for any player in club history in order to secure him.

I would’ve loved to have another left-footed defender. It just didn’t work out this window. But I don’t know how you can look at the results of Spurs’ business and be upset. We are a better team than we were 3 months ago.
